That sounds so awesome... but I would totally be skeptical. I mean, do they have to get a license to be a reseller like that? Is it legal?

I think it's like any consignment/reseller store anywhere. Don't think you need a license. I suppose you survive through your reputation. I would imagine that Hong Kong would be a boomtown for resellers cause there are so many fashionistas and socialites there who discard their bags after a season or two.

Wooo, I wish we were going to HK and not Thailand in Oct. No offense, but Thailand is a fake bag haven so people will probably think my bags are fakes

yea I agree... but always just be careful of what you's buy, have a thorough inspection as always with regards to authenticity.... it's hard to trust people nowadays....

I asked my friend with regards to these stations and she hasn't heard of them probably because she's not really a bag addict like me!

However, I have heard that you can find some discontinued LE items there...most of the HK ladies apparently do not want to wear bags that are out of season.

I have read that you might have a better luck finding really cheap prices with Gucci, Prada, and vintage Chanel...hmm....
yea most slightly used items you can't really get much markdowns... as in cases of most designer products...

I've found a site on ebay blog where the owner explained that LV doesn't give out authenticity cards etc etc and so I sent her that. felt a bit bad for putting her down but i guess its a lot better than her paying tons of money for fakies. I am a newbie LVphilliac and the safest way i get a bag is buying the pre-owned ones, if i'm not sure of it, i ask the ladies here :D I really suspect off houses here in JP gets their fakies in Korea, the largest fake LV manufacturers are there. no offense meant but i've been there and they said i can even give them a drawing of the bag i want and they'd do it using rejected LV leathers.

On Topic: If you ladies ever been to this shop, could you please let us know the street or where to find this shop. Thanks!
Where is Misawa? I went to Japan a while ago and I found a lot of pawn/reseller shops in Tokyo. I think Osaka has more and a better selection, though, but that was too far for me. I have heard horror stories of people purchasing fake/AAA copies both in Japan and Hong Kong, unknowingly. Hence, I only buy LV because that's a brand I'm really good with, although I wish I were better with Chanel!

I also know that employees of some of these Japan pawn shops are required to take courses on designer items so they can tell the difference between what's real/fake. However, not all stores do this so it's always best to use good judgment on authenticating a bag.

juicyholicmum - I think there's a street full of HK stations in Causeway Bay...maybe she can try to go there and give us a report , hahaha, j/k

Misawa is up north. most of the bad resellers are in Tokyo though as they love to give away this authenticity card. I suspect these resellers in Tokyo are backing each other since on of my friend bought one from one shop, then went to another shop and shown the receipt from where she bought the bag, and they said its authentic when its not.

I think I know what card you're talking about. I've seen them on ebay auctions with Japanese resellers...you're right, LVs usually don't come with this extra card. I didn't encounter those when I was in Japan, though, but then again, I was being very selective with where I wanted to shop since some places were very overpriced or had a bunch of brands I wasn't too familiar with.

But anyway...argh, I want to buy a used Chanel if I go to Hong Kong (since I missed out in Japan), but I don't know how to tell the difference between real and fake. Hopefully someone here can chime in how the selection is?
