I heard from my friends that vernis color will fade after few years. It's real?
Do you girls and boys have the same problem? Because my vernis bag till now still looks like new one (it's only two years old) Anyway, I am thinking since I will spend near 3K on Vernis Alma, why don't I buy other two bags instead?? I am thinking to get Neverfull PM or GM and Speedy 30 in Azur line. I am so confused, please tell me what will you do?? Should I stick to vernis alma? or swap to neverfull and speedy 30????? Pictures might help.

Stick with the vernis. It shouldn't fade after a few years. Make sure you use a leather conditioner with sunblock.
This may sound crazy but this conditioner for convertible tops works great for preserving the color and resisting stains and fading. |

i say vernis. usually if anything goes wrong with the bag you can bring it back to the store and they will send it out and repair it for you at a cost. i am not sure what their policy is about fading or if the vernis will even ever fade. i am pretty sure that if you don't leave the bag outside 24/7 in the sun, you shouldn't have a problem!

I would go with the Vernis Alma. I would not treat it with any chemicals at all! Like vuittongirl said if anything goes wrong with the bag you can take it to LV for repairs.

Eh little late to chime in BUT...
Honestly, I'm not too fond of the Neverfull. The Speedy is awesome and classic and la-la-la, but I'm not enanmoured with the Neverfull. The Alma however, is gorgeous and even if it requires some extra care, the Vernis doesn't seem as common as the Monogram or even the Azur. [I love both, but just to make a point.] What colour were you thinking?

The older vernis has problems with fading/yellowing. I've seen older silver or baby blue bags that have turned yellow. I think the more recent bags are made differently to avoid that, and also since the colors are darker (pomme, violette, amarante) they probably shouldn't yellow. As long as you keep the bag out of lots of direct sunlight, you should be fine!
