I am a genuine LV newbie who doesn't know a thing about LV. All I know is that LV bags are a status symbol & I wanted one after years of hard work. I bought my Rita Noir on or about 8 June. Now I am scared to death to use it. What if the red edge on the handle bleeds again? What would the LV people say? Yesterday while I was at the LV shop, I was asking a no. of SAs what I should do to avoid bleeding. Nobody had a clue since everybody said they had never heard of a bleeding handle. I came onto this forum hoping to find more information about bleeding edges of handles. Apparently, I was really down on my luck since bleeding isn't really prevalent at all!!

I am rather disappointed with LV bags. The last time I chose my Rita replacement, I had to go to 2 LV boutiques & inspected a total of 6 Rita bags before I could choose one. These bags are so expensive & I just don't understand why their quality isn't commensurate with their price.

In fact, I came into a little money recently & I bought 3 LV handbags within 2 weeks. Believe me, other than the Rita mentioned above, the Tivoli GM was also promptly returned the following day because the zipper wouldn't work even before I had ever used it. I got a store credit for it. Two defective items within a week is a bit too much. Now I am wondering what I should do with the store credit.

Really??! That's so weird. I have two multicolores, a mono. Speedy 30, and a Horizontal Lockit, and I haven't had any problems with them. Although I will mention that the strap of my Damier Pouchette did split in two... I was pretty upset about that. But LV did agree to fix it.

You're right! I am superstitious & I felt very uncomfortable after getting a store credit for 1 bag & then a replacement for another, all within the duration of a fortnight! I have never owned any LVs before but I have purchased Tod's, Chanel, CD, Loewe, Furla & Lancel bags, none of which has ever been exchanged or returned. But the third bag I got from LV, a damier Berkeley, is perfect in every way & I enjoy it very much every time I wear it!
