Recommendations on my first LV purchase...

Ok, I'm looking towards purchasing my first LV and I'm so undecided about what to buy. I dont want to regret my first purchase, so I have to really like the purse I'll choice as to it'll probably be a while before I can get another. I really like the Galliera PM but it might be a little high on the price, I aslo like the Tivoli Pm the Gm looks too big; And the speedy 30 looks great too, and so does the Alma I liked the way it looked on Jennifer from a pic she posted on another thread. Oh and I want it to be in the Monogram Canvas. Can you'll see that I cant make up my mind

I would really appreciate everyones suggestions and opinions

Speedy 30 $685 (my very first LV, and I absolutely loved it) 12"x8"x6.5''

Monogram Alma $980 12"x9"x7"

Montorgueil PM $765 (an LV newbie) 14"x8"x6"

Montorgueil GM $835 16.5"x9.5"x7"

Neverfull MM 12.5"x11.5"x6.5" $685 (GM measures 15.6"x 12.8"x 7.9" and costs $735)

Batignolles Horizontal $795 15"x10"4.7"

Batignolles Vertical $795 13.4"x 11.8"x 5.5"

...ok... i'll stop! lol...

Do you have a shoulder bag vs. hand bag preference? My fav mono bags that aren't too expensive are the batignolles horizontal, the lockit, the neverfull, and of course the classic speedy!

Hi Ping, I think I would prefer a shoulder bag because I'm a mommy to a 2yr old and a 1yr. And its crazy when you're trying to handle both lol. But I wouldnt want mind a hand bag if it was LV :D

I would go with the Galliera PM. Especially if you have small kids. I personally feel that this is the best LV that I have owned. I have a 6 y/o, 8 y/o and a baby on the way. It's the perfect mom bag and a true head turner. It's gorgeous and easy to carry. The speedy can become inconvenient since it's a hand bag.

I would go with the Speedy 30. (my first was speedy 25, and I am regreted I didn't get speedy 30)
Second option : Batignolles Horizontal is quite roomy.

Speedy is always a good choice on a 1st time buyer...but I think you should get the Alma in Eppi or the Trevi GM..or PM.. lovely..

Thanks everyone! I made a choice and I decided to get the Monogram Speedy 30, its so classic, it might be a hand held bag but its a LV. Its on its way

I cant wait for it to get here. I'll post pics as soon as I get it

I was never a fan of LV until recently, now I am scouring the net for a deal on a used one! Im going for a big speedy, I think 35 or 40! I cant wait to see it, make sure you take some modeling pics!

Personally, with kids, I would go for the Neverfull MM if you are just picking one. It's easier to put things into and then find easily. Then I would go for the Speedy.

I really considered it but I dont like the fact that it doesnt have a zipper. So I got the Speedy 30. Im super excited about it
