If you like handheld ~ definitely the Speedy! (My fave is the Damier 30 - no vachetta to worry about)

If you prefer shoulder bag ~ then the Monty or Neverfull!

I always wanted an LV and for my first purchase (made yesterday) I decided to go with the Damier Speedy 30. Reason one was the price. Reason 2- the color and reason 3- I live in Miami and there are fake mono speedies every where (haven't seen any fake damiers yet...I know they are out there)! I do plan to but a mono for my birthday. I am now on the LV bandwagon!

I have a question. I noticed that some of you guys mentioned receiving a box with your bag. I purchased my bag from LV inside Bloomingdale's and didn't get a box. Was I suppose to get a box?????

Some sales associates are either stingy or lazy, and they don't even offer you a box, or tell you about a box, which is totally wrong! Yes, you should have received a box... it's not your fault though, it's yours... When I was in Vegas, the sales associate didn't offer or give me boxes either... until I asked for them... I NEEDED MY BOX!!!! lol...

^^ me too. I like storing my bags in boxes, so they don't get squished..

On the downside, they take up so much space.

Yeah... you will get an LV Box... eLuxury is owned by LVMH, so it's like you are directly shopping off of them...

You're going to love your hard box as much as your bag... I love designer boxes!!

just an FYI, i did make an elux purchase once that was supposed to be boxed with a gift message and it didnt come in a LV box, it came in a regular elux box, i called them about it and they said they were out, so i went to LV (a 3 hr drive) just to get my box!!!!!! luckily i had all the info with me (my elux receipt, the person who i spoke to at elux, and my new item) so that they wouldnt hassle me when i asked for a box

I would get a Montorgueil. That's the LV that I am pining after right now. Only six more months to go (Christmas - although I bet I will get it in Late November, early December...)

how did you get the LVs? from the boutique, elux, ebay? you can still get them if you take all the paperwork to LV and show them when you bought it and that you never got a box

I would suggest to buy a speedy. They come in 4 sizes and aren't that expensive. Plus it's a fabulous handbag.
