    So any thoughts on this one? Idk...it seems really functional. I'm not sure how I feel abou the pleat in the front though...

    I like the Palermo... but the PM version isn't exactly a tote bag... I believe the handles are too short... unlike the GM version, where the handles are actually long enough to fit over your shoulder...

    ^^^ Hehe... I think that's why the bag has that long detachable strap.

    Alicia - I actually like the pleating. I think it give the bag a more interesting look.

    i actually saw a pic of someone wearing the straps over their shoulder and it looked pretty comfortable. though it probably also depends on the size of your arm.

    does anyone know if the detachable strap is very long?

    I have the Palermo GM... the detachable strap on the PM and the GM is adjustable. I can only speak on the GM in saying the attached straps are comfortable when carrying on the shoulder (and also adjustable). I've never tried on the PM, but I can tell you that I am more than pleased with my GM. And the pleating is an elegant touch... dresses up the tote, a bit. It may be something you need to see in real life.

    Saw it today... Gorgeous bag. Then again... Does vuitton make anything but gorgeous things?

    the pleating is exactly why you should like the bag.
    gives the bag shadow, a very nice 3d look.
