It's true that LV does have a lot of replicas, especially the monogram canvas... but a lot of them you can easily tell they are fake....so I am still a fans of Louis Vuitton.

I am a fan of LV too. Yes, there are way way too many replicas, but people who truly love LV can tell when some trashy person has a fake.

There are alot of fake replica designer bags out there - especially of the monogram louis vuitton. As well as other designers such as burberry and coach. But I dont let that bother me when deciding on a bag. Most people who buy designer bags know when someone else is carrying a replica verses the real deal.

i try not to let other people affect my decisions, all of my friends (and some family) insist that i not buy th real deal and get fakes. I totally dissagree i would prefer nothing than a fake

I prefer the real thing, too. I remember seeing a woman on the subway once with a fake papillon. I knew for sure because I had my real one with me that day! It was kind of funny because a man standing near us kept looking from bag to bag with a curious look on his face. I wanted to say, "Yes, I have the real one!"

it depends on your surroundings--as in if you live in a rich neighborhood owning a real bag is impt, so even if there are a lot of fakes, there are still those subtle differences that can tell them apart from each other but if you live in the bronx then having a fake wont make any difference.

and also depends on how you personally feel.....some people will feel proud even they are holding a counterfeit handbags....but to me it's a shame!

Hmm. Actually, I know a lot of people who aren't really into designer bags are more inclined to think LV is ugly and to dislike LV. I used to be that way, too; I thought it was ridiculous to spend a lot of money on a handbag that wasn't even attractive in my eyes. And it seemed like everyone had one, so yes, I think it's ubiquitous quality made it seem even worse.

I got "converted" when I got a bag for my mom (who is in love with LV); I knew she really wanted a bag, and I felt bad that all she had was this fake speedy and wallet. It was then I noticed their excellent craftsmanship and longevity. I liked how it never goes out of style, so I could reuse my bags until I get older.

Also...it was then I learned that a lot of people who have an "LV" in my area are carrying fakes.

I dont let that fact get to me, it sucks but oh well, i give it a while and then their bags tear!!

I could care less about how many replicas are being produced. I'll always love LV especially the multicolor collection regardless of how many replicas are made. I mean if you look at it.. it doesn't even really reflect you. You have a real one they have a fake one. In reality the people that have fakes want your bag, and the people that have real bags don't want the fake one! Doesn't really bother me at all...

to be honest, because of all the fakes out there it puts me off from Louis Vuitton. Not that I care, but it takes out the fun of having somthing luxury... i dunno IMO~... I still love Louis Vuitton but trying to stay away from the mono line...
