Default Speedy 40; Too big for me?(PICS)

Hello guys,
I'm new in this forum. I just bought a Mono Speedy 40. I want to use it as a schoolbag, shoppingbag and for internship. I already have a Damier Speedy 30.
I'm 5'3" for reference....

I wonder if I look ridiculous with a 40. I can exchange the bag within one month.
Please be honest!

Here are some pics:

Here is the Damier 30 and the difference between the 30 and the 40

I think the 30 suits yo better in my opinion. I would keep the Speedy 40 only for trips.

The 40 does start to look a little luggage-ish on your small frame. I would say it would be okay as an overnight bag or a carry-on, but not as an everyday handbag. Sorry!

I love big bags... but when it comes to Speedy's it's a bit different, imo. It looks fine and all, but I personally would downgrade to a 35... because like BRS said, it looks like luggage...

imho, i think the bigger size speedy bags look like duffle bags or like an over night bag. i personally wouildn't go any bigger than a 35 for an everyday bag. the 30 looks great on you (and i love the accessories on the exterior!!!)...so if i were you, i'd exchange the 40 for either a 30 or 35...but i'm leaning towards a 30. but if you would only use the 40 for travel, etc. then you should keep it. hope that helps!

p.s. - Welcome to the Bag Forum!

I love the Damier 30.
Are you going to carry the 40 as a handbag?? If so, then yes, it is way too big!
Anything over 35 should be used as luggage. JMO!
BTW...Welcome to the forum!

first off I LOVE your 30, with the charm and case so cute! I never really liked the damier too much, but I'll admit its starting to grow on me and your bag is way too cute, but I could never get one since I have to carry bags on my shoulder. I would say get a 35, I like the look of that size. I do love the speedy and was debating on the 35 myself (I'm 5'1 by the way) but I opted against it because I wanted a shoulder bag and got a MJ Little Stam instead. If you want something a little bigger go with the 35, but the 40 is a tad much.

I think the 40 looks too big even though I love big bags. I think the 30 suits you well!

What r u using this for? If you are using it as a school bag, you would probably find the extra space handy. If you are using it as a purse, I'd say take it back. Either way, it's a fabulous bag and I want the Speedy 30 in the Damier canvas like you have pictured!

If you are using this for something that you will be walking with and needing to put it on your shoulder, I would go with a larger (wider) handled bag. This one just doesn't cut it. Comfort is key with the places you listed that you needed this for.
