So this past year I started to research travel bags... carry on's. About 6 months ago I came across a stunning, I mean stunning LV bag that was really big and breathtaking, perfect for travel... I peeked in the store the other day and it is obviously gone by now, I asked about it and yep.. it has been retired..bummer. I buy designer bags quite often but this was to be my first LV. I need help please... being many of you are super LV savy I have a few questions. 1) Where is the best place to find "real" LV retired bags and 2) I dont know what the bag is called - ideas? It was huge like an overnight bag... charc or dark graphite color with black or dark charc detailing...it had the monogram embossed in the leather... very simple like the vernis but not really that shiny...and the price was around $4500.00.. I think they said it was a collector piece as well, any ideas what it was? Finally 3) Anyone seen this around, know where I can get it now? Thank you xo

Sounds like the Mat Monogram... they don't make that line anymore. Was it the Keepall?
I would try Let-Trade... they don't currently have one, but you can e-mail them and tell them you would like them to locate one for you. They usually do a pretty good job.

Yes it was mat and the monogram was embossed... like a dark gray color with black accents... it was a large bowler shape with two top handles, no strap, no wheels, very over sized... I will check out Let-Trade, thank you very much.....

OK So I found a photo of the same material... this gray and black, same mat, monogram/emobssed but not this bag - it was a large bowler shape... anyone know what this type of material/syle is? Merci' (see bag in photo link)

Thank you... yes that is the print/material etc. The one I saw was a bit larger in a bowler shape... but yes essentially the same...If anyone sees a bag in this color/print go up for sale please please let me know...

Good luck with your search, I LOVE the embossed bags and wish a Polly from that line would fall into my lap one day. These bags don't come up on ebay often enough

Bag is great in all colors but the charcoal color is so beautiful and would be perfect for this falls "it" color scheme...

Thank you everyone, really appreciate it... I saw the bag once and have thought about it every day since... should have bought it at the time but $4500 or so is a lot to put on one bag... and I was in the midst of building up my base collection so spread that over 3 bags vs. one.. of course ended up buying more than 3 and spending more than the $4500 once the bag bug bit me.. so perphaps I should have just bought the LV? Oh well love what I have now...

YES< OMG that is it... it was so beautiful in person....in charcoal... if ANYONE sees this (authentic) for sale would you let me know....
