Simple but Pricey: Louis Vuitton That’s L.O.V.E. Tote

Browsed eluxury today and noticed they finally have the Louis Vuitton That's Love Canvas Tote available. . . and I did not know it retailed for $1720! That was a bit shocking in my opinion. Considering that it's just a canvas shoppers tote. I don’t know what Marc Jacobs was thinking when he produced this bag for Louis Vuitton, since it seems quite similar to his
Marc Jacobs super inexpensive “Special Items” line. The canvas totes in that line retail for only $10. Don’t get me wrong, the Louis Vuitton That’s Love Tote is totally cute summer and all, but the pricing is a bit on the extreme side - I was thinking $850-ish.
What’s so special about Louis Vuitton’s Love Bag? Well the cotton canvas body is ornamented with the hand-stitched logo, which apparently took over 20 hours and 620 gold and silver tube beads to create. That’s the only flashy part of the bag. The interior is simple, lined with linen and features one single pocket. Measurements: 13” x 14.5” x 4”
Worth it? Or a big fat nay?
