I bought a Louis Vuitton Epi bag secound hand, it is liliac and has the embossed lv on the lower right hand corner. The bag has liliac resin feet, and two resin pieces by the handles. The interior is a liliac/grey suede soft fabric. I have only seen this bag on ebay once before, my question is regarding authenticity of this bag. It was discountinued years ago. I live in a ski resort and sometimes genuine bags come in. The marking is on the inside flap, it sayd louis vuitton Paris made in France. The stiching is immaculate, the bag is gorgeous. Do they make fake epi bags with resin feet from five years ago?

Okay... you lost me. What style is the bag? You said it was Epi and it was Lilac... but you don't say what style it is. Different styles have different linings. There are only a few Epi styles that have an Alcantara lining. If you don't know the name of the bag... can you post a pic?

You can post a picture by scrolling down to the "Additional Options" underneath the "Submit Reply" when you are posting a reply. There's a button that says "Manage Attachments". You click on that and then browse for the pic you want to post.

I had found a model number but didn't save it. I have never owned a LV bag, so I can't find a website that carries pictures of older bags. The pic is so dark, sorry. I will use another camera.

The style is called "Nocturne". From what I can see... it looks okay, although I've never seen a lilac one before. It has resin rings where the handles attach right? The pic you gave is kind of a funny angle, so you can't see that part. Post more pics if you can.

yes, it has resin rings on both sides, only one side says louis vuitton, and I think the lilac was a limited color. I can't find a model number. I'll post more pics later tonight.

Yes, that would be correct. "Louis Vuitton" is only on one of the resin rings. The Nocturne has an alcantara lining and it has a slip pocket on the back wall of the bag's interior. There should also be trim on the top edge of this pocket. Like I said, from what I can tell your bag looks okay. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

wow thanks for the great info. I am thinking of selling it, but have no idea what to ask. The purse has no scuff marks and is in near mint condition. Also, can anyone recommend a web site that carries different pictures of new and old LV bags. I have been wanting a small speedy bag and would like to see older versions.

Hmm... I'm not sure... I would guess maybe in somewhere around $500, give or take a little. Perhaps since it is a different color... you could get more. The ones on ebay are all either black or brown... no lilac. Also, wait until fall when people are looking for x-mas gifts.
