Everytime I get something on my LV bags.. I always geta wash cloth, wet it, and put a tiny dab of soap on it... comes out perfect and fine! I always clean my leather, looks perfect! I just do it VERY gentely though!

I accidently spilled coffee on the vachetta on my Galliera. Mocha java from Starbucks, to be exact, so not only did I have a coffee stain to worry about, but chocolate, too. I took a washcloth with warm water, a dab of Dawn dishwashing liquid and it came out beautifully!! When the leather dried, there was no stain whatsoever. I was happy about that. You can't even tell anything had been spilled on it.

Why do they use such delicate leather? Also, if you get a small stain on it, like say a small dab of dirt, will it disappear when the leather darkens?

The babywipes - only for the oxidized leather, or is it safe on the naked leather.

cleaner is quite strong, I always recommend conditioner

I'm wondering this myself as it seems like a very delicate process.

On Louis Vuitton leather, I use Jack Georges Leather Lotion because it is wax free.

This is a very useful thread. I'm new, so all this is a little overwhelming. Anyway I got a stain on one of the handles on my speedy 25, and I'm not sure what to use if anything. I think I'll just have LV clean it. Thanks Ladies

A few things about cleaning your handbag. Keep it out of the sun! If you leave it out there that is a big no-no!

To avoid cracking - make sure that you condition your leather straps constantly, you can get something like this: Cadillac Leather Cleaner

If you want to clean off dirt then use magic erasers -- If the magic eraser doesn't work you can try an eraser from the school supplies section.
