Thread: Counterfit LV?
February 27th, 2013, 06:44 PM #1
I wasn't sure where to put my question that there's alot of traffic so I chose here....hope that's ok? (I'm desperate)
I purchased a bag today that's supposed to be a Louis Vuitton for $160.00. I haven't seen it yet, except in a picture. I purchased it off of a local auction page on Facebook. Since they have some pretty strict rules in place, I took the lady at her word. She said she gave $800.00 for it new, & was defnitely authenic. (one of the rules is that if it's not authenic, I don't have to buy.)
After the auction ended, someone connects me & says it's counterfit. Just curious if any of you could tell with one picture? I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Can't post a picture because I only have 9 post.
If this is in the wrong spot, I’m sorry. Couldn’t find a place with lots of traffic.

Re: Counterfit LV?
Yes you can post a picture, Louis Vuitton is very hard to authenticate (it can be done by the sticker inside the bag) I am not sure what type of bag it is but depending on how or what the picture show's yes it is possible to tell if the bag is the real deal or not. Louis Vuitton is one of the most copied bags around, I have seen so many people carrying Louis Vuitton (it is one reason why I decided not to buy one and to go to Chanel instead) The Speedy's are a very popular counterfeit bag. The best places to buy a real Vuitton is at there retail shops either free standing or in major department stores like Sak's...... Good luck and hopefully it will be the real deal and not a fake.

Re: Counterfit LV?
You can tell a fake most of the time. For example the handles are made of leather and do not fray and will patina over time. On a speedy or any bag that has a continueous piece of canvas will have the LV upright on one side and upside down on the other. What kind is it?
