I am wanting to know if this bag is authentic??

I have been passd on this bag that seems to have come out of a friends loft, very nice bag it is but i am quite intrigued if it is actually authentic or not?? and when it could possibly from.

Any peticular collection?, is it truly Vintage?, I have had a look inside and out and can really see any destinctive marks on it... Obviously it has got all the signs of a LV bag but is that enough??

Hello, like you all know I had the house fire not too long ago, but I got out this old piece of LV luggage that was given to me as a gift from one of my aunts. She said she got it at an estate sale or something and I'm not sure if it's authentic. It has some burnt marks on it and other damage but I want to see if it's real before I take it somewhere to get fixed, otherwise I don't know what I'm gonna do with it!!




I'll post more pictures if I need to.

My rule of thumb, although I'm sure people will disagree, is that if it's old, it's authentic. Some bags were made to look old, but when it really is you can always tell.

Well, It appears to be pretty old to me, but Im not sure if it really is "vintage"

^ I agree to some extent but they were making fakes in the 80's too.

iheartmjnicole - It looks good to me, but to be sure I would take it to LV because they can send it off to be properly restored for you!!

I would take it to LV but I'm kind of embarassed I don't want them to be like "ugh no this is fake" lol I know that's silly!

By looking at it, it looks fine, but I think the things that really tell if it's LV need to be shown - date code, heat stamp, etc.
