Hi everyone! I'm new here, and sure could use your help. I want to make sure this bag I received about a year or so ago is truly authentic. As you can see it's a Manhattan PM, I just love this bag!! The code inside is VI0035 The bag hasn't been out much, but the leather is starting to really look nice.

I don't want to....but I may have to sell it because I lost my job and things don't look real good for us right now. I'm holding on to it as long as I can though!! I took pictures the other day to send to Carol diva's but I paid them and still no reply. I've emailed them and emailed them and still no response.

I sure could use your help. I know there's lots of pros on here, if you'd be so kind to lend me some of your expertise! I took pictures the best I could. My camera isn't good on dark colors when it comes to details. If you need more pics, I can retake them outside if needed. Thanks again for everyone's help!

angieadms - I don't see any indication that your bag is fake. I think you're just fine.

For pricing (if this helps), Let-Trade has one for $830 (approx. half retail) right now. But yours is in better condition than that one, so you could probably get more if you found the right buyer.

Oh and the price range on ebay is $900 to $1200, depending on the condition of the bag (that's from the completed listings of bags that actually sold).

Oh thanks so much! I did state, I really really don't want to sell it if I can keep from it but I did want to get an opinion before I listed it. I know all the fake trash out there and if i can't produce a receipt someone is going to think i'm just feeding them a line of bull. We'll see what happens with our finances. thanks again for all your help. Any other comments are welcome!

By the way, I didn't just come on here to get what I want and leave. I love handbags, or should I say I'm addicted to them. I love planning each year the bag I hope to get....yes....i'm lucky to get one a year, but hey....it's something to look forward to.....

I think if you were to provide detailed pictures, like the ones you have here, that an experienced LV buyer would probably come along and say "Hey, look at that great Manhatten PM". A receipt isn't everything,especially since people are faking those now too. So just let the pictures tell the story, people will be able to see that its authentic. That is... if you decide to sell it.

Thanks "boysRsmelly" I do appreciate the help! I didn't realize till the other day that there are sellers on ebay who actually have fake receipts somehow. How in the world do these people come up with all this stuff, it's scary. I know one thing, if I spent 1650.00 on a Louis and it was fake....i'd tear somebody's head off! LOL

I'm not the expert by any means...but I do know on the speedy it's a continuous peice of canvas..so the back LV's are upside down for one thing.

There are lots of things you can go by. Things to looks for would be bad alignment and the incorrect placing of the monogram pattern, incorrect lining, handles that are shaped funny, the leather tab at the end of the zipper being shaped funny, incorrect fonts, etc. Were you looking at a specific bag?
