Hello all!
I'm new to TBF, and unfortunately for my wallet, I looove purses, haha! Anyway, I found this on ebay, and was wondering if anyone would mind authenticating it for me? I love the Damier Azur for spring/summer, and today has been so beautiful that I decided it might be time to make another purchase...

I'm not sure if this rule is correct because my new bag Louis Vuitton Watercolor has this code: SP1018. On the bag it is written: made in France (not Spain), 2008 is correct but 11for November is not... And my bag is real!

^^^ The date code system has changed since this guide was written. It only applies to older date codes now. The numbers that used to correspond with the month are now the --th week in the year.

^^^ Yep, so the 11 really stands for the 11th week in the year. So that would be in March, sometime?

HI I need help authenticating the purse in my display before I buy it.

First thing that stood out to me is that the purse has a rip at the bottom (not that hard to notice from the pic) and from what I know about Louis it is made from one continuous piece of material.

Secondly, seller says the bag was purchased over 14 years ago, and says it is not a fake.

Third thing, no authentication cards available.

Can Louis Vuitton rip at the bottom the way this one has?

Please help? What should I do? Do bags from the 80's have dates stamped in them?

Oh another thing does Louis Vuitton even make this bag? I cannot locate a picture of it on any legitimate website.

It was purchased 14 years ago? That would land it in 1994 and yes it would have the standard date code format for its date code. This is a Saumur correct? I am pretty iffy on it because the one on Let-Trade (from 1992) has a canvas lining on the inside.

see thats the thing, it is NOT a saumur, I checked. i can't find this purse anywhere. i have never seen it. The bubbles in the lining remind me so much of a fake! almost as if it was glued on. Ya the saumur does have a dark brown canvas lining. Also just got another email from him, he cant find a datecode. However he is willing to take it to the nearest HOLT REFREW to have it authenticated. I have made an album of the two pics he provided me with.

Wait... yeah, the Saumur is fatter than that. It would have a double compartment if it were. Hmm... this is very strange. It's not a St Cloud either.
