Re: LV MINI LIN
this are some tips: - look at the interior part of your bag
- Examine the bag's zipper pull. While engraving zipper pulls is popular with counterfeiters, there should not be an “LV” monogram symbol engraved on the zipper pull of a French Company bag. In fact, nothing should be engraved on the zipper pull.
- Look closely at any metal hardware. Authentic "French Company for Louis Vuitton" pieces have rivet heads that are plain rather than embossed.
Look for a date code on the inside of the bag.

Re: LV MINI LIN
- Break the code down into its components. The purses have a 3- or 4-digit code. The first 2 digits are the year and the last 1 or 2 indicate the manufacturing date. The first 2 digits are always higher than 80. The last 1 or 2 digits are always between 1 and 31.
- Follow the code guideline that refers to the year the bag was produced. In 1990, the coding system changed to 2 letters followed by 4 numbers. The letters indicate the factory of origin. The 4 numbers are the manufacturing date, but now the date is staggered. The first and third numbers are the year, while the second and fourth numbers are the date. When examining the date, put the numbers into the right order and verify that they represent a plausible date. Code format changed again in January of 2007. 2 letters still represent the factory of origin. The 4 numbers that follow the letters are the week and year the bag was made.

Re: LV MINI LIN
Hi.... That looks like an authentic LV Mini Lin Speedy30 to me!! If you have questions about the date code, follow Anne's advice above...

Your aunt is too cool to give you a bag like that!!!

Re: Louis Vuitton Handbag: Please help authenticate purse!
I found this bag today at a thrift store.
I wouldn't usually care about its authenticity but it came with a batch number.
I'm very much doubting its a real VL bag. People don't usually donate such things to a thrift store hehehe.
Take a look at it and tell me what you think. Please note these photos don't do the bag justice, I took them on my phone.

Nope... still no red flags. What about pics of the date code and interior heat stamp?
