Default MCM Ivana Great Patent Calfskin Satchel - "inspired"?

take a look at MCM's Ivana Greta Patent Calfskin Satchel. This oversized patent calfskin satchel has Double shoulder straps, double top-zip closure, front logo plaque, Signature brass hardware, interior zip and welt pockets. Measures 14"W x 11"H x 6"D.
This bag retails for $595.00 at Bloomingdale.

To me the bag looks remarkably similar to LV Vernis Alma. The signature motif embossed, shape, structure, ......almost everything looks the same

MCM is listed as a designer on Bloomies website, but i really don't know anything much about this designer.

    What do you ladies think?

MCM was a HUGE brand in the 80s when logo bags were the rage. Everywhere you went, Fendi, Gucci, LV all had logo bags out there. The line has been around for decades and was carried by royalty, celebrities and the like. It was always so similar to LV though and vice versa. It's always been a pricey line although this bag is more reasonable than I remember.

Yeah, my mom has a few MCM bags and luggage pieces that she's had since the 80s. It has been around forever! I don't see many people carrying them nowadays, but once in a while I do.
