    Default Mon monogram??

    I know this service was introduced sometime late last year but it just arrived at my local boutique. Wondering if anyone has done it or seen a bag that someone has done?

    I think i remeber someoneone on the forum had done this to their bag(s) but i cant remeber who it was..

    IMO It looks tacky. I dont like it at all.. No offense to anyone.

    ^^vgirl, I think for this special order the design and initials are stamped into the leather, it's not painted on. I suppose it could chip but according to the SA, it is unlikely

    I think it is a good idea if you want to keep your bags forever.
    If you like changing or selling your bags after many years of use, i think you will find it difficult to sell an monogrammed bag unless the buyer has the same initials !!!LOL!!

    I completely agree with FU.

    If you're the type of person who only wears a bag for a couple seasons then wants to trade it in for something new, not a good idea. And personally I'm not a huge fan of initials on day bags. I just think it looks better on weekenders and luggage.

    ^^^ ITA, Mon Monogram on weekender/luggage is something I would do rather than on an everyday bag. I've seen some pieces in person, they're actually nice. Also, I fear chipping since the designs you choose are painted on. Regardless, for those who like the style, it's a neat piece to have!

    I'm planning on getting a Mono Speedy with my future initials in pink and white, with a pink stripe outlined in white going down the center. according to the BF this is going to be an engagement present... which i hope is soon, lol. hehe he's the one who is all for it too!

    I think I'm going to get a 25 though, so it's small and not something I'll use all the time. I'd want to keep it really clean and use it for special things... especially since pink doesn't really go with everything

    last time I was in LV I fell in love with one of the example pieces they had. If I ever bought a speedy, I'd probably have it done, I really like it on the agendas too.
