They look alright to me.

Epi stuff isn't as commonly faked since it doesn't have a logo printed all over it. That's not saying that you'll never see a fake Epi bag. The best way to evaluate them is by comparing them to known authentic ones. Pay close attention to the heat stamp and date code. Also, features are usually consistent for the same style across different collections. Example: A Speedy will have exactly 5 stitches going horizontally at the top of the piece that anchors the strap to the bag (hope that makes sense).

DH was so sweet. He came home tonight with an LV bag. It was used, by an ex-colleague from work but she had only used it twice and never reached for it.

Well I started my research... and was confused about everything I read about fakes and note fakes. I figured it was fake (what are the chances its real...).

Anyways, DH called her up and left a message. She called back, he told her he thought it was a fake and she was upset. She said she had bought it at a LV store in florida for 2000$ and would try to find the bill. Dates back from 2003-2005 I think she said.

Anyways, DH gave her a check, so if we can figure this out before 3pm tomorrow we can just cancel the check and at least get our money back (minus the 12.50$ for the cancelled check).

catalina - As sweet as your husband is, I'm sorry to say that this is a fake. This style was never made in the Multicolore. And it never had a lining like that or magnetic snaps. This person lied to your husband, there's no way she bought this from an LV boutique. And besides, the date code doesn't coordinate with the year she gave. In fact, it doesn't make any sense at all... the 18th month of 1970. I don't know how much he paid for it, but I would definitely put a stop payment on the check.

Cassandra - there are some blurry pics in the first auction, but otherwise I don't see anything out of the ordinary. The other two auctions look fine as well.
