Default THE HUMBLE FUTURE OF ARCHIE42 - FUTURE ADDITIONS IN A RECESSION.

    Hello All,
With the GFC - global financial crisis - becoming a GFR - global financial recession - I thought it would be good to reveal my plans for the next 2-3 years. With the market being the way it is the timeframe may extend out to 5+ years. We really need to acquire a baby grand piano for the house in the next 2 years..... We were thinking of a Yamaha U2 ? Any advice on piano's greatly appreciated.

My opinion is that Luxury Goods may fall in price on the used market however their will never be crazy bargains. ie I don't think an LV Alzer hard case suitcase will ever be available in great condition for under US$1000- Just like a Rolex Gold President will never become a US$2000- watch!

    1) I have no plans to sell anything in particular - only if I get a better example of an existing piece in the collection.

    2) I plan on getting a Louis Vuitton Keepall in Damier or Monogram.

    3) My wife wants to get a Damier purse soon to replace her Epi Yellow purse.

    4) I plan to add a Yellow Gold Rolex President to our humble collection. Not sure whether to go for diamond dial or not. (ADVICE PLEASE_)

    5) I plan to add a 2+ct diamond to my wife's diamond ensemble. Probably as a STATEMENT RING.

    6) I would like to upgrade my wifes diamond ear rings from .5ct each ear to 1ct each ear.

    7) I want like to get a WHITE PEARL SOUTH SEA necklace for my wife. She already has a Black tahitian set with matching ear rings.

I AM VERY KEEN TO HEAR ABOUT OTHER MEMBERS WISH LIST PLANS.....
THE ECONOMY WILL GET BETTER EVENTUALLY.

As I've been telling family and friends, I refuse to participate in the recession (or crisis- whatever you want to call it, I don't care). I'm going to keep doing what I was doing before the recession hit.

Honestly I have no idea what I'll be buying next. I was going to buy an RM bag, then a Coach, then a Gucci cosmetic case, and now I'm lusting after a Gucci travel tote. I am incredibly fickle. Soooo... whenever I have enough money to buy something, I will buy it. But any major purchase is going to have to wait until June- I have summer tuition due soon, along with car registration and insurance.

We used to have a baby grand. Sigh- I wish we had been able to keep it. That is going to be one of my first purchases for whenever I buy a house.

ITA! I am doing the same as before the recession. We own a business, and have seen a slow down, but that is not uncommon for this time of year in our business.
Plans for me: To ban bag buying for a while and buy granite for the kitchen!!! (doing that today).
