Default LV Epi - Vintage Classic?

My days of living in Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong are over! I am stuck in the backwater of AUSTRALIA! Very little used LV in Australia!

Also impossible to sell any older LV locally.... I tried 2 years or so ago by advertising a few used pieces in the Broadsheet newspaper. I had a few Epi piece to sell. ABSOLUTLEY NO INTEREST! People wanted the latest colors/patterns. I explained that if the piece was genuine nobody would sell so quickly unless they had serious head issues!

Unfortunately my wife does not like the old LV Epi BLUE! I have a mint LV Petite Noe in this blue...... she hates it... whilst I love it and want to get more of it! I wanted to get her a Epi Blue Alma..... but she did not want that color!

Personally I think Epi is much better value than mongram on the used market. Surprisingly Epi is cheaper on the used market..... even though when new it is more expensive.

The only problem with Epi is that the colors change each season - this means you can date an Epi item depending on the color. I also find this sad as it becomes harder to build a collection in 1 particular color. My wife loves the Epi Yellow that was originally released.... we have a few pieces.... HOWEVER all new Epi is not available in this color.... the Yellow has changed... also the red has changed.... and the blue has changed......

Taiga is also in the same boat..... it changes and you cant get the old colors again....

I personally love EPI peices..... I am keen to hear opinions on EPI.

I personally have owned Damier, Monogram and Suhali pieces only! I think the epi looks great but am concerned about the 'creasing' that several people mention! I don't know if this happens only in the older pieces!

You have a great collection BTW!

Well archie42, you know how I feel.

    WHY I LOVE VINTAGE EPI:

The colors. Kenyan Fawn omg just to start
EPI if cared for correctly will hold its shape and color very well...even after 14 years.
    Very unique designs
Price is right on the used market
Epi is not on the arm of everyone as Monogram/Damier etc.

    Shall I go on???
    I MUST STOP COLLECTING

I think epi is great! It wears like iron, is waterproof, and feels so cool when you touch it! I don't mind the low resale value of epi...that means I can pick up some great prices for not too much money.
    Now on a BAN!
