Thumbs down LV sales associate is not well-trained!!!!

I stopped by a LV store with my co-worker yesterday. My co-worker was using a damier canvus bucket and I was using a Juicy Couture bag. I got a lot of LV bags but for some reasons I just felt like using other brands yesterday. The SA approached us and she had a big smile with my coworker asking her when she got her bag and if she got a matching wallet. I felt that she kinda looked down on me as I am not using a LV bag. My co-worker wanted to look at the Monogram Mini Lin Saumur. She showed it to her....then I said this style also came in with the Monogram Canvas. This was our conversation:

Me: This style also came in Monogram, right?
SA (looked at me like I am stupid): This is monogram!
Me: No, I mean monogram canvas, not monogram mini lin
SA: It doesn't come to my attention there is one in monogram canvas

I can't believe the SA doesn't even know all the styles of the bags, and the point is the way she acted was like I am stupid and how can I know more than her.

Just want to share this experience. Does anyone come into this kind of situation before? :furious:

Yup... I was at the small LV boutique here in Ft. Lauderdale.. located in Neiman Marcus... about a month ago. I was just looking and there was a lady that came in that did not own any LV items. She wanted to look at the Multicolore collection and asked "What is this bag called, how much is it, and is it popular?" The guy at the counter looked at her bum-fuzzled... I looked at him and said "are u kidding me.? I'll handle it"... I looked at her and said "The is the Black Multicolore Pochette Accessories... it is $590 because prices just increased a few days ago. It is very popular... I have this bag in White and I absolutely adore it.. I use it constantly. Great piece for a first time LV buyer. I higly recommend it. It's a perfect bag just for carrying a compact, lip gloss, phone, wallet and keys." She said thank you to me and told the guy she would take it! He just looked at me shocked! I should of got the commission for that sale! AHHH... I really need to work at LV!

I must say they are quite good at LV here in London... and Copenhagen for that matter. But I went to LV in NYC once and I wasn't impressed.

I know they don't get commission here in London... nor Copenhagen... they just have some targets...

Do they get commission in the US?

Yes... they make commission in the US. I know for a fact! Hence you also know... then you have the SA's running to you for you to make a purchase. But yes... they do make commission.

Marissa, all LV stores globally work on store comissions (to lessen the competition between SA) which means that all the SA work to make a certain target sales amount and then if this is reached the SA are awarded an equal bonus for their efforts

Whatever the case is... I know they make money! LOL... like I know if a certain SA does very well in selling products they award them with trips! The SA I deal with just went to NY as a gift from the company! He got tours of all the LV stores, got to go to a show, and a dinner at a really nice restuarant. I want to work at Louis! haha

I think nice things like that only happen in the US... My friend works for LV in Copenhagen, and they don't get any trips etc., unless it's for training purpose of cause

I have no clue... but my SA was just telling me all about his trip that LV presented to him only because he did very well last year. Free trip to NY... I'll take that anyday! He was even telling me about the VIP rooms they have in the NY stores.. and how he got to go in them, and how nice they are. All this stuff... his trip sounded so cool!
