That's a HUGE bar to me collecting any Hermes - there is no botique anywhere near me. That and when we went into one in Hawaii, my DH figured out when the purses were all under glass that they were probably $$$$$. And he shuffled me right out the door.

But without really seeing the etolie line in person, people aren't going to know why the pricetag is so high. The craftmanship on the line is just stunning. I really want the bowler and the wallet, but the limited and seasonal releases come first for me right now. The bigger tote is just TOO heavy. But it's such a GORGEOUS line

Thankfully I don't seem to like anything in resort/cruise so perhaps I can get it after I get my Rose Pop Alma.
QueenMAB the "Rose Pop Alma" is gorgeous in pictures! Again haven't seen it IRL! It makes all the difference IRL! The Etoile is so much nicer than it looks in pics.! I can't tell you how surprised I was when I first felt it! It is thick and supple, not "stiff" like some canvas bags! As you know from your agenda, the stitching is so precise and perfect! I love to sit and look at it! I guess having less vachetta would be easier, but once she patina's it will be more "easy care"!

As far as heavy, I find my suhali is extremely heavy! I love the line, but that is one def. draw back!

Can't wait to see pictures of your Alma after you get her!

Ooh, I haven't gotten into the Suhali line yet. I was terribly tempted by the gold and silver lockits, but as I already had a silver miroir lockit I couldn't convince myself that a new suhali one would get used enough.

But when I saw the agenda and how everything lined up so perfectly I was in LOVE. And your bowler has that unique lock too. That almost got me right there. But it was the purse plan, lots of vachetta, and funds vs the gorgeous stitching and that fabu lock.

I would love to see a closeup on that lock. That might tide me over for a bit.

I wasn't going to get the Rose Pop, but it's been growing on me....and now IT MUST BE MINE

but not until after March 1st.

Drat, if I had that bowler I would just sit and stare at it too. There was another thread (someplace nameless) about someone who left their purse outside in a sunny area by a pool for a weekend to let the vachetta "tan" and it turned out pretty well - what about that? Not an option where I am though.

QueenMAB, I love the Suhali also, and am looking forward to the new "Le Pourpre" that is coming out in May! I quess the only draw back is the weight, but I think it may have something to do with all the "LV" accessories in our bags also!

Tanning the Vachetta sounds like a good idea, but I've got to wait three months for the snow to melt though! I'll try to get a pic. of the lock and post later. It is so neat being round!

You must be very excited about your "Rose Pop". March 1st will be here before you know it! I can't wait to see your pictures!

QueenMAB, I got a picture of the lock for you!

It really is nice and heavy (substantial)

I wonder if they will use this round lock on any other bags!

Oh Baggers! I LOVE that lock

Thanks for those pictures. It is def a selling point. I think it would be kinda cool if they kept it only to that bag though. Then it would be your special lock.

(well, and mine when I FINALLY get that bag)

    OK...
Rose Pop Alma + French Purse THEN
Etolie Bowler + Etolie wallet ....

I'll just tell LV that they can stop releasing cool stuff that I fall in love with this year

Yes, you did say it before, but I love hearing it again! She's even a little bit "smoochy"!

    Great to see you hear!

The quilting is the FUN part and LV made it totally their own on this line with how they lined up the symbols

(running off to hug my agenda now)

Thanks for your kind words M-Butterfly
, this line is not that pop. but IRL is so much nicer than pictures! The canvas is three layers thick and very very soft and supple!
The quilting is so precise and cleverly done!

Now I can't get the agenda out of my mind!

QueenMAB, people say that LV is copying Chanel, but "MJ" has been quilting his bags for ages, so I don't think that is necessarily so!

Give your agenda a big hug from auntie Baggers!::
