Opinion. . So do you like it when your Louis Vuitton handbag is brand new and the leather is super light colored or do you prefer it when the bag is in the middle semi colored stage or the dark aged golden color?

Personally I like when the bag is brand new and fresh out of the box, but then when it gets to the middle stage like 1-3 yrs old, im not a fan. I still love, but I like the super dark stage more. <--unless there are water marks or stratches.

personally i like the dark stage. the light stage makes it look like a replica sometimes.

That is true, since many counterfeiters choose to use the light color plastic on most of their < crappy > bags

I like the light color better. I am sad when my bags start turning to the darker color. Especially because it doesn't turn all at once. Like when the part where your hand holds is darker than the other parts.

Definantly the Dark stage... a beautiful tanned leather is the biggest sign of authenticy!

I like patina...except when it's in its "plasticy" light brown stage. I think it looks fake. New is great, but I'm always fearful about the vachetta. I don't take care of bags very well, hehe.

I love it in the middle stage!! When it's brand new... it's like it's my child.. and I'm too scared to do anything with it! My speedy fell on the floor at the grocery store the other day... I screamed so loud I think people in China heard me! I'm way too careful with my bags!! I feel if they cost a ton of money... take care of them... because so many people in the world wish they had the bag I'm holding in my hands at that moment. I take care of my bags like no tomorrow. So the brand new stage... is like heart attack stage for me... no thank you... haven't been through the golden age... we will see how that one goes soon!

I know what you mean, when I saw the pics of your bags I was like
WOW this person takes care of her bags. I am so sick of seeing
worn out bags that looks like the went around the world twice on foot.

Yeah.. I'm extra careful with my bags!! LOL... I guess I know how many people in this world I have NOTHING. I feel... if I paid $100's of dollars for this bag... I'm gonna take care of it till I die because there are people out there scrambling for food! I feel so blessed I have nice bags... and I appreciate it so much! Sometimes people carry around a bag that costs $1000, and don't even sit and think... there are people in the world that don't even have $1.....

I'm always scared with a new bag too. Any drop of rain and I run. How do you guys manage with wet weather and your bags?

My favorite is the middle stage... somehow the gradient where some parts are darker than others appeal to me. It gives a sense of... personality to the bag. Then again, I'm weird.
