Yes, heat stamping is free even on bags that you have had for ages. If it is a larger store, they can do it on site. Otherwise they have to ship it to another store.
You have a choice of three (?) sizes, fonts, and colors.
LV will heat stamp on smooth leather so the handle tab, inside of wallets, inside of agendas, straps, etc.
I cant seem to find the pics of my stuff, I had my ipod and wallet heatstamped without color (natural) becuase the SA and my friend agreeded to it so i gave into them (i knew i should have gone with my gut instinct of gold.) Let that be a lesson to all of you GET A COLOR! if they make a mistake (they will replace it if it a huge mistake like a blotch or a wrong letter etc.) The indepth of the stamp is unnoticable with color and it can actually be seen its barely noticeable without color! So i had them re-do my stuff with gold on the opposite sides so my wallet and ipod case have 2 sets of initals. Still with the gold i found small speckalling along the edges of the letters, and what they didnt tell me is that it is unfixable if the paint is scrached (which it shouldnt if it on the inside of a small leather good but on bags its a little more worrying) I did recently get my luggage tag heatspamped of my carryall, it looks ok, i wanted the leatters bigger but they couldnt do it, and it did bruise the vachetta on the opposite side (not that it really matters) but just another owrd of warning to you guys (esp. marissa since your are concidering it : ) ) I wouldnt get the acctuall bag heatstamped rather luggage tag since it is replaceable (and removable) as apossed to the handles or inside vachetta which will cost big $$ to fix if you dont like what they do, plus the vachetta patina difference
good thinking guys! lol it does look cool and more personal but its not my style plus i like my things immaculate whihc is why i buy lv and then to have an ok job in a perfect wallet pisses me off lol it may be free but if you dont like it it cost big $$ to fix, so research and think it through would be my advice to everyone
Its free no matter what you choose (but i have heard that thay have charged people in the past but i have never been charged) so basically they have 8 or 9 colors (plus gold or silver), they have only a few sizes (tiny, small, large, x-large, and really big) and only that one font, everything is uppercase, i heard (i dont know how true it is) that some asian lv sotres have asian symbols/letters as well and some images
