Default A bit of advice from a bad experience...

As some of you might know, I got a summer job this summer to earn extra cash and what not. Today, I went to work and I took my purse with the usual goods I use at work (pens, antibacterial, and extra hair ties) ... but before I left my house, I decided that after work I was going to buy groceries for the house... since my parents we're hit with a high $850 phone bill (due to the immature sister)... So bad mistake... I took my Burberry wallet to work with a bit over $300 in cash.

Long (and very upsetting story, short)... an employee or a customer (unfortunately, it is more than likely to be one of my own fellow co-workers) emptied out my wallet...

I'm bummed out... and shocked at how cruel people could be. I mean, I'm not a mean person, nor do I look down at people, and I thought I got along with everybody there...

So a bit of advice... although you might consider it to be common sense... don't carry large sums of cash on you to the work place. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Aww... I'm sorry that this happened to you! You are a great person and it's unfortunate that there are such effed up people out there that do these kinds of things to good people.

Have you talked to your supervisor about it?

Viva, I'm so sorry this happened to you! It's so awful. Do they have security cameras where you work? And yeah, did you speak to your boss??

OMG Viva!! I am so sorry that this happened to you! Were you able to make a police report on it?

It is a sad, sad world.

Viva, omg, that is awful! I'm sorry that that happened. There are some pretty poopie people in this world. Did you make a police report? Doesn't your work provide you with lockers? They should! Its not like you work in an office where you can lock it in your desk or something. You work at a restaurant, right? Since its a place where a lot of people are shuffling around, you would think they would provide employees with a safe place to keep their stuff.

Thanks for cheering me up girls... well, no lockers for us... and I will mention it today to my managers... I know I won't get my money out of it... but hopefully, nobody has to go through what I did. I guess it's sort of my fault for trusting people... ya know? oh well...

do you take your very nice bags to work? If so that may be a reason, my best friend and I had giftcards stolen from our bags (nicer ones) My mom told us to think better and carrying a nice purse is a target. If it was from on of your LV's or something I'd buy a $10 bag to use at work to avoid any further risks.

Im so sorry that happened to you! Did you end up filing a police report?

A little OT, but Im wondering what kind of setup your work place has for employees belongings? Is there like a shelf, a set of lockers, or some other designated spot?

look at the positive... At least they didn't take the wallet...

I would lick your purse in your trunk if I were you and there are no lockers.
