    Default I think I need a break...

Last Night, I thought I had a breakdown... no joke... My bub has had colds for the past 3 days and could not sleep well at all, he sort of got it from me as I have colds because of the weather, and I haven't had sleep for ages... not a proper one that is... so I'm tired, sick and 6 months pregnant.

For 2 nights in a row my son feeds too much and chucks up all the milk he had and food he ate... but that doesn't stop him from feeding... he sleeps with us so when he does I have to change the sheets... I've changed sheets at 3:00 in the morning for 2 nights in a row... and have to do the washing in the morning... I was just so tired and I just broke down in tears and was sobbing like crazy... my DH just held me, and my son was just looking at me, I think they feel really bad.

I told my DH I'm sort of finding it hard to cope sometimes.. taking care of a little one, being pregnant, getting sick and having no one in my family here
(except my DH and his family) and my friends...

I'm really happy with my life but sometimes the stress just gets to me... maybe I just need a break... sorry girls just have to get it off my chest...

Aw, I'm so sorry! *hugs!* I bet being a full time mom with a little one on the way can be so stressful! But I'm sure being a mom is also the most rewarding job you could ever do! Maybe you could get your son like a toddler bed with railing on both sides? That way he could still be in your room without being in YOUR bed, ya know? Maybe you could ask a close friend or a relative of your hubby's to babysit your son for a night or two so you can have alone time and get tons of rest! Just remember, we're all here if you need us to talk to!

    I feel for you.

I went through this when I was pregnant with DD. One night DS had gastro and he threw up three times one night in his cot. I had to do the laundry three times that night and I was pregnant, tired, had morning sickness all day and reflux. And we don't have family here either. It's hard, I know. I have sat in a heap crying.

Don't worry, you will get through this. It was really chaotic the first few weeks when DD arrived especially in the evenings as I had to prepare DS' dinner while DD was screaming cause she was colicy. And DH doesn't get back to work til after the kids have gone to bed. But it has all settled down. What you need to remember is that it gets easier as you get use to the routines and it's a lot easier with a second baby. You've been there and done that.

Do you belong to a mothers group or planning to join one with your second? I joined another mothers group and we meet up twice a week and it's nice to just have a whinge with people who understand.

And yes, organise a babysitter for a day for your toddler so you can have a "me" day. You need to look after yourself first before you can look after everybody else.

Thanks Jess. Being a mum is the BEST thing that ever happened to me, and I love staying home and looking after my son, it just gets to me sometimes ya know?

Yea we're planning of getting a junior bed for him at the end of the month as we're buying it together with the next baby's cot... My son just got really attached to me, and me to him, sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night to touch my face and check if I'm there... which is really sweet.

Thanks Arianne, it's nice to hear it from someone who had first hand experience... I was supposed to go to a mother's group after my son, but they met 6 weeks after I gave birth and I wasn't able to drive yet as I had a caesar... I might go for my 2nd bub. I have a friend (a single mum) who comes by once in awhile and it's good when she does come cos I get to talk to someone.

tBF is my only "me" time

AW! It's moments like that that make you melt! My nephew...when he has taken a nap while I watch TV...he plays with your hair to fall asleep. It's so cute!

Juicy, I'm so sorry to hear about you being stressed out!!! I know what it like to be overwhelmed and when you get to that point where you feel like you just can't do it anymore. I don't have children, so I can't relate to that aspect. But I do know what it's like to be under a ton of stress. I use to have panic attacks and horrible anxiety all of the time because of the stress I was under (school, family, bills, a break-up at the time, etc.).

Just remember that you're only one person and just take things one at a time. You sound like such an awesome mommy, so keep that in mind and know that you are. At the end of the day, and after all of the stress, just remember that your kids are lucky to have you and that your jobs as a mom is so important and worth it in the end. idk...i hope i helped a little!

But you can totally come here to vent and we're all here to talk you through it and offer support, as you already know!

Thanks ladies for all the support... I just needed to vent out... and I'm feeling so much better already.

Last night was better, my baby slept through because his colds are settling, and he didn't chuck up or anything, I feel really rested. I think I deserve a bag. hihihihihihi.
