    Default Am I lazy?

My husband says I'm lazy. IDK... I guess I sorta am. I mean, I don't like to cook and I don't like to clean. I work and I go to school and I'm on here. LOL! And that's pretty much it. Although I'm not really sure why he's complaining now. He knew this before he married me.

Well, since you work and go to school i don't think you are lazy. I am the same way with cleaning...though I like to cook, or at least try to, lol.

What about hour husband? Is he lazy, or does he cook, clean, etc.?

Lol, I don't really LIKE to clean...but I do it. I wish my bf was more of a clean freak like I am.

Lazy? Ummm.... you spend your day working and going to school and then you are expected to come home and keep the house clean too. I don't think so. I would be exhausted. I think "Sir hubby" needs to start pulling some weight as well.

I go to work full time, and I am in charge of our finances which is a full time job in and of itself sometimes. I don't cook, and I don't clean...but I don't think I am lazy.

I am sure you contribute somehow. Whether it be that you do the grocery shopping or run errands or do all the calling ...

If your house is filthy, then clean it. As long as you take care of your things, don't live in filth, etc I think it's fine

I wouldn't say filthy... more like dusty. I keep the bathroom and kitchen pretty clean. I just hate trying to vacuum and dust everything all the time. It seems like so much effort, especially when you have a lot of stuff. Ya know?

That's not lazy. I don't know anyone who enjoys cleaning.

Of course not! I don't like to cook or clean... I hope that doesn't make me lazy lol. Also you're in school plus you work and didn't you say in another thread that it's hard to find quality time together because your so busy? I wouldn't worry about it. You're not lazy, you have a full plate

    Cool Re: Am I lazy?

I'm a mutant :stuart: then, cause I like cleaning--when I'm not freaking exhausted. BUT, I hate vacuuming. All that dust flying around...all that stuff to move out of the way...all that effort trying to decide whether or not to vacuum those not-easily-to-reach areas...all the extra work if you do decide to vacuum them...the guilt if you don't .... I don't like cleaning sliding doors and windows, either. No matter how much I try, there are always smears when I look at the glass from different angles, and dirt spots that just spread more dirt the more I try to wipe them out.

About you being lazy or not, well, it's hard to stay on top of everything all the time. I'm not taking sides because I'm not there, but does your DH help with the cooking and cleaning? :brows:

LOL! Then why am I on here so much? I spend a good portion of my free time on here. Shouldn't I be cleaning right now? LOL!

Gizmo - Do you use newspaper to wipe the windows with? That's what my husband says I need to do in order to get rid of all the streaks. As for what he does, he does do the dishes occasionally and the laundry sometimes. He always mows the lawn because I simply can't push than mower that he claims is self-propelled. But usually he just comes home after work and passes out in the recliner. He says that its okay for him to do that because his job is much more physically demanding than my job. That may be true, but that doesn't mean I don't want to relax when I'm at home.

Yes, I don't throw money away on Windex and the others when water and newspaper do a better job. Sounds like your hubby helps out a bit (more than many). Have him clean a toilet every once in a while, see how he likes that!

No. I am talking about food crusted plates, roaches, and foul odors.

I am a landlord and I have seen some nasty situations.
