Re: FINALLY!
^^^ Nope... not a single teacher around here makes that much. Plus we have a huge problem with budget cuts in our public school system. Teachers are getting laid off left and right.

Re: FINALLY!
The only place that I know of that offers decent pay for teachers is Michigan... And even then the pay is only around $50k for someone with a Masters...
Its a decent but modest living... In Arkansas unless you work at an inner city school like Little Rock or West Memphis you are only looking at $30k to start and $40k after you have been there a while...
If I can get all our debt paid off, I am going to get a teaching license through the non-traditional licensing program in AR ... You can teach at a red zone school for two years while taking weekend teaching classes and at the end be totally certified... The catch is you already have to have a college degree and you dont have to take Praxis I if you have a masters degree and scored high enough on your entrance exams (GMAT, gre, mcat, LSAT, etc)
I think I would enjoy summers off tremendously :-)

Re: FINALLY!
teaching isn't something you get in to to get rich... Its more something you do to make a difference.
Accounting is somethhing you do to make good money... Its not something you do to feel fulfilled... Same with marketing or management...
