I didn't get a ton to stuff for me though, so don't be too disappointed. I was actually pretty upset about the Dior, Fendi, and Burberry outlet stores. They didn't have good deals at all! The Dior outlet had a Trotter Romantique Pochette, for example, and it was still almost $600. I think I had them on Diabro.net for around that much awhile back. Oh well...
Oh, but I did see a beautiful Hogan hobo bag at the Tod's store! It was pink and it was 60% off (came down to $255)! I wanted it so bad, but my husband said no. OMG, he was no fun at all! I basically had to look quick, grab what I could, and leave... store after store after store. What a poop head!
Okay. Is there any way you could sneak this on to a credit card? For instance, if you have a major payment fixing to post (I use my CC for travel and expenses that I will be reimbursed for my company by - like my professional dues and taxes...then pay it all off at the end of the month when I get my paycheck/expense check) THEN! when you pay it off, he will be like...that seems high...but then just shrug it off?

I don't personally do this, but I have friends at work that sneak stuff by their husbands.

^^^ No, my husband made me get rid of my credit cards. I just have 2 store cards... one of which is the no-interest Von Maur card. Remember, I was naughty and my husband had to bail me out with money he received from a mutual fund his mom had bought into when he was a little kid. In exchange, the credit cards had to go. Anyways, the Hogan bag was a very good deal, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. So anyway, I bought some stuff at Coach because of their insane sale that they were having. Most of it isn't for me though, but I talked my husband into letting me get a couple of things. What I really wanted to do is look at clothes at the NM Last Call store. Oh man... everything was buy one get the 2nd half price! Plus everything was marked down anyway! But he wouldn't even let me look at the clothes, see what a spoil sport he is?

You're lucky if your husband gets you birthday presents that are of the handbag-kind! LOL! My husband refuses to buy me bags for any reason... I have to buy them myself.

This is how it works at Christmas and on my birthday:

You have $X to spend on whatever you want, and then he hands me corresponding $100 bills (don't get too excited...most of the time on my birthday it's just one Benjamin). I then proceed to buy my own Christmas gifts (which, always was weird because...the money is all in a joint account). I can't complain though...my ex husband bought me things that he wanted...like Car Radios and tires and crap like that.

This year, he is going to try something different...only...I want the Montorgueil PM for Christmas and that is probably all I will get, which is fine by me. For my birthday he will probably take me to the outlet and buy me whatever I want...within reason. I could probably get one medium sized Coach and a couple of Mini Skinnys, and maybe a wallet. Idk...

I meant we are trying something different in that I am giving him a list of things I want from which he will pick from and suprise me. If I get the LV, though I will have to go get it myself (with him, of course) as I like to make sure that there are no imperfections on the vachetta...

Well I've always said that the day my husband actually goes and purchases a bag for me as a gift is going to be the day little piggies are flying over a frozen hell. He hates that I have this "thing" for handbags... since I really wasn't all that in to them when we met. Then again, I was 17 when we met and I didn't like carrying around a bag. He thinks its ridiculous even to spend $50 on a purse, but he knows I've spent way more than that. I guess its lucky for him that I can't afford anything really expensive (or what I would consider really expensive). What's going to happen when I'm finally out of school?

My husband is old enough to admit that each woman has their "thing" ... with some it's diamond jewelry, others it is shoes...others it's designer clothes/jeans...or HANDBAGS!!

As long as I am not bugging him for a plethora of expensive things, he doesn't say too much. Plus, I work full time so it's not like he feels as if he has to pay for everything himself...

Although, I do like diamonds. I just have a hard time finding pieces that are "me".

You know what I would LOOOVVEEE more than a handbag (**GASP**)...a Rolex. I would love a stainless steel rolex with the diamonds around the face...that is what I would love. HOwever, those are like $10,000 and up (I saw one I really liked for $98,000 but I would rather not get a watch that costs more than a decent house). And the day that he buys this for me is the day, as you say, piggies will be flying over frozen hell...

This is what I am talking about this watch, get it first. Then after a while you can have diamonds put all around the face...Rolex will do it (not for free though) and it won't void your warranty...

^^^ Yeah, I know that there's some jewelry that I wouldn't mind having. But my husband doesn't get the whole "designer" jewelry thing either. Although he did get me some Denny Wong while we were in Hawaii on our honeymoon.

^^At least you've been on a honeymoon! We haven't done that yet...

I am hoping once SK is 18 and out of the house we will be able to travel more...cuts the cost of doing so in 1/3 (we have no family around here to help us so we would have to pay for someone to come down or pay for the kid to go somewhere).

On my list is Hawaii...US Virgin Islands...San Fransisco, LA, Las Vegas (I have been but want to go again), and Chicago (been many times but love the shopping there).

Hawaii is awesome, especially if you like doing stuff! We went on a rain forest hike, a plane tour, inside a volcanic crater, etc. They have tons of water activities too like wind surfing and parasailing.

I also would like to go to Jamaica as well. I watched "The Girls Next Door" this Sunday and Holly's sister had a destination wedding at the sandals resort. They got massages on the beach ... that just looked heavenly.

I could have booked a Hawaii trip this year...hubby was in a good mood the day I asked if we could take a vacation when SK is gone...then I got scared of the price and second guessed the budget and made the mistake of asking...I should have just booked it! Travel/hoten for $1,000 per person...not too awful bad, is it? Oh well. Branson will be good enough!

No that wasn't too bad for Hawaii. Our plan tickets by themselves were $1000 per person. We used my in-laws' time share points to stay at a condo... but that just meant we didn't get a good deal on airfare. But then of course you have to have lots of money to do stuff since everything costs quite a bit. Oh and you need a rental car... otherwise you're not going to go anywhere. LOL!
