Re: TBF MEET - pick the city
There are lots of Amtrak trains that run into Chicago. If you live on a direct line, you could probably take the train much cheaper than flying. There's a train that goes from New Orleans - Memphis - Chicago, I think there is a train from Walnut Ridge, AR to Chicago (Walnut Ridge is a small town about an hour outside of Jonesboro), There are trains from the Flint area in MI to Chicago - and those of you in OH I am not sure if there is a train there but I figure you could catch one near Detroit.
If I were single and this were in Chicago, I would go. LOVE Chicago.

Re: TBF MEET - pick the city
I think I'm too late... lol... I'm for NY! I think the whole you don't need a car there comes in handy for big group trips.. but that's just my opinion. Plus summer time in NY is fairly reasonable and during winter the cold it's amazing.. especially the hotels around june and july. Vegas sounds fun too..... I can't plan that far ahead though.. so I'm probably a NO.
Stinks I would love to meet all of you!!

That would be the perfect time of year for Chicago! As far as local transportation, you could take the "L" trains, or cabs. There would not be any reason to rent a car, heck there is even a train that you can take to an outlet mall that's only about 30 minutes away.
