Re: TBF MEET - update: chicago.
When I used priceline, I did that name your own price thing. The only thing about that is you have to know the exact area where you are going to be staying. You put the area you want & how many stars you would like the hotel to be rated & then you submit a price & it either gets accepted or declined. When I did it, I got a great 4 star hotel in NYC for a great price. The only thing is you don't get to see what the name of the hotel is until after your offer gets submitted, because you input your CC information when you are submitting the "bid". So it wouldn't work out now to just see how much a rate would go for! But it is something to keep in mind.

I tried some other dates that are months from now. The prices are all about the same.

Re: TBF MEET - update: chicago.
I know and I don't think I will be able to afford that. And even if I could come up with that much, I still wouldn't have money for things like food or shopping.

Re: TBF MEET - update: chicago.
Mapquest says its 8 hours and 21 minutes. But my husband says I'm not allowed to take my car on the interstate because its an unreliable piece of crap. He's right though, it is a piece of crap. Transmission is bad, along with some other stuff.

Re: TBF MEET - update: chicago.
My cousins live in Chicago and one of them used to work for the Drake Hotel. I'll ask him if he still has hook ups with someone for hotels...
Also, they know Chicago like the back of their hand, they could show us around, and I know it fairly well since I worked in the John Hancock Center for a summer internship. That's right on N. Michigan Ave. And Michigan Ave is definitely where it's at for shopping!

Haha, for real, Jess! That would be so cool if we could do that!
But couldn't we set up kind of like a "donation box" on the site or something?
