Also, denysa25, cosmopolitan1 and ghighsor or something all have S&TC episodes uploaded onto youtube. The quality's actually pretty good too.
Just search for denysa25, as she has Cosmo and ghighsor linked on her profile favourites.

i just wanted to say to everyone who asked, i would definitely reccommend seeing the episodes before the movie...mainly because in order to keep the movie moving forward critics have said they dont do a lot of backstory and things will be easier to understand and notable funnier if you already know whats been going on between the characters.

I bought the collector's dvd 2 days ago, and paid 109 (which i think is an awesome deal!)at best buy. It's well worth it- it felt like i was wactching the show for the first time (and im sure i'll be watching it over/over). They also gave me a free pass for the SATC movie...so ill be seeig it next week!

without giving away the movie, they do try to catch you up in the first part of the show. You wouldn't know EVERY episode like I do but you could still totally see and love the movie.

I bought seasons 1 & 2 this weekend and about have them all watched. I just placed an order on Walmart.Com for the rest of them...they are only $15.86 a piece. I didn't buy season 6, though because it is on HBO and I already watched it. What I didn't like about S6 is that it is in two parts ... so it's $30 instead of $15...not fair. With season 1 I got a free movie pass and it's good until June 29th...so...I will definately get to see it sometime this month ... I checked and there is an IMAX in Branson that accepts the tickets so I hope that when we go there, the show will still be on the IMAX screen...that would be AWESOME! (And totally worth the 6 hour drive in and of itself!)

Alicia, I too thought I could just rent the movies, but each season has 2-3 CD's and Blockbuster breaks them down so what I did is I went to Wal Mart.com and got each season (1-5 because season six was already on HBO on Demand) and they were 15.87 each (cheaper for me than renting each DVD), and I just had them shipped to the super wal mart by me because that is where I do my grocery shopping anyways (saved $7 in shipping) I might add that I bought Seasons 1 and 2 at Best Buy for the same price (15.87 but when I went back for the rest of them, they went up to $20) I would go by Best Buy, though because if you get certain marked DVDs they come with a free movie voucher...I only got one in the first season and I tried to get another one for hubby, but I couldn't find them again and they didn't come with the Wal Mart CD.

That said, seasno 1 is about 6 hours, seasons 2,3, and 4 are about 9 hours each and season five is 6 hours. Season six is 9 or more hours, they sell it in two parts.

Sounds like a lot, but it is addicting. I lack one episode in season 4 and then on to season five. It's been over 100 degrees around here so I don't like to go out much anyways (other than to work out of course...) On a good Saturday with nothing to do you will at least get through six hours...

I suggest watching the episodes before you see the movie. Each episode only comes out to like 20 minutes each. Trust me once you sit and watch it.. you are not gonna stop. I have the collector set with all the seasons in it. I watch all the episodes in about a week. It's so addicting.. and I've seen each episode over 10 times! I love the show.. today I popped in season 5 and watched the whole thing. Tomorrow.. Season 6! I've already seen the movie 2 times.. going again! LOVVEE this show! If you are ever in NYC.. they have a store on Avenue of the Americas. 1100 Ave of the Americas to be exact! I go in there every time I'm in NY! They always have fun Sex and the City goodies!

Also.. the PG-13 version of the show.. is on Monday throught Friday on TBS at 11 PM. Although PG-13 it's still very good and addicting. Just doesn't have all the raunchy stuff.

I recommend watching the episodes first too... I watched the entire series when I was pregnant with my first child. you really get into it and see the fashion change from season to season...

Haven't seen the movie as my girlfriends want to watch it in gold class (champagne's served and you watch in a recliner, not that I can have any champagne!) but its booked out for the next 5 weeks here in Australia. :)
