Okay, we're thinking of going to Sea World too while we're in Florida. Problem is, the tickets are $60! My brother-in-law and sister-in-law said that they want to go too, but they agree the tickets are expensive. So... does anyone know how those tickets work? They have specials right now where you get a free 2nd day with a 1 day ticket. Would it be possible for my husband and I to go there one day and then give our tickets to them to go another day? Or do they put your name on the tickets and check your ID went you enter the gates for the second visit? If we could do it that way, at least we could split the cost of the tickets.

Yeah, my husband really wants to go. I know my niece would like it too... she really wants to see a whale (well, it'd be an orca whale).

Re: Anyone know anything about theme park tickets?
Could you check around and see if there are discounts somewhere? I know when we used to go to Cedar Point each summer, my dad would get discounted tickets from the Credit Union (he worked for General Motors, and since GM employed almost everyone in MI at the time, they were deeply discounted)
Maybe your school? Bank? Check around online. If you go, just take a camera and take lots of pictures and it will be worth your $$$...that way you all can go together instead of splitting up...
Re: Anyone know anything about theme park tickets?
We are going to Branson for vacation this year (our honeymoon- four years after getting married LOL...got someone to watch the stepkid for a while)...and the tickets to Silver Dollar City and the water park will set us back almost $180 for three days (two people) ...
I thought that was nuts because Branson is like in the middle of nowhere...so the $60 for two days at SeaWorld doesn't sound too bad...

I don't remember if our names were on the Sea World tickets, but I know that Disney World is really strict about that and they take pictures of you as you go through. Sea World doesn't take pictures but if you are buying the tickets online, they may put a name on them.

^^^ LOL! Okay, I'll keep that in mind.
Nashville - I have looked everywhere for a discount... the $60 IS the discounted price. UGH! Hehe... you're going to Silver Dollar City? Hope you like getting wet! LOL!

^^^ Hehehe.... oh boy are you going to be in for a shock! My husband and I went about 2 years ago. I thought the same thing you did... but then we actually got there and whoa. They have rides and roller coasters and a vast majority of them get you SOAKED. My advice? Wear a swimsuit under your clothes. I was walking around with wet underwear all day. And another heads up, the "artisan" shops are filled with a bunch of stuff made in China and Taiwan. I was so disappointed when we went because when my parents went there about 20 years ago, it was like a huge craft show there. But things have changed dramatically since then.

Re: Anyone know anything about theme park tickets?
Here are some pictures of the rides:
And they still have Marvel Cave:
And here's Geyser Gulch and Lost River of the Ozarks:
But the people working there are all dressed up like they're from the 1800s or something. And they still have shows and stuff.
Oh, and not everything is made in China and Taiwan... there is still some stuff made there like baskets, blown glass, pottery, etc.

Celebration City and White Water Park both have separate websites of their own.
