I have audit experience so they really press for me to go, although I am resistant. I really don't want to be away from hubby for 2 weeks.

No - my cell doesn't work there. I have a SMS card that I switch out when I go to Asia. However, I use Skype (skype.com) which is cheap and most of the time free (if your hubby also has it). I do a lot of video conference over that to my colleagues in Germany and Switzerland.

omg, south is an open city and very safe!! north is communist and they hate americans!! scary!!

^^ I would refuse to go to the North. I would assume it's south korea, though because it's probably hard for a company to do business in the North with the communism/government influence there...
