dear DH,

please be more sweet to me and show some emotions!! i mean c'mon, be more demonstrative!!! we've been together for a long time, i know you love me so much but i am a very touchy-feely person and i want the same from you

don't worry i still love you

PS, also please be more thoughtful, i'm not asking you to give me gifts everyday, all i want is something that i can see and remember and say, "hey i love the BLANK you gave me last xmas" or even a LOVE LETTER from post-it's showing how thoughtful you are!!!

OK NOW GUYS THIS IS WHINING!! LOL!

Dear neighbors-
I was very excited when you moved in. I thought, YAY! After 9 months of having no one nextdoor, we finally have someone. You are nice when we talk outside, but I swear the next time you wake me up coming in your house in a drunken rage at 3 in the morning, im not going to just lay there and attempt to sleep for the next two hours until eventually I just get up... I CANNOT GO ON THREE to FOUR hours of sleep anymore.

And seriously, WHO DRINKS EVERYNIGHT?!

Please, just stop. OR just be quite. No more falling down the stairs and laughing hysterically either. Your laugh is really annoying at three am.

Thanks!

Your neighbor.

Dear local pizza makers,

Your pizza is very yummy, and the taste is great. But, I really don't like the tons and tons of grease you put on. Seriously, you slab so much darn grease on your pies that I could scrape it off and have enough grease leftover to cook with for like a week if i went on a fried-food kick or something. Or you should at least reimburse your customers after they spend a few bucks on like 2 rolls of paper towel just to soak up all of that oil. And another thing - your worker didn't have to be so rude the other day when I simply asked "can you please go light on the grease?" She gave me the evil eye like I had just offended her or something. I mean, no other place makes a pizza as greasy as you do. But like I said, the taste including the sauce and crust is really delicious (for quick pizza thats like 2 miutes from my house) Geez, why couldn't there even be a Pizza Hut or something closer by???

Dear people interviewing me.
OR
Dear people taking my applications and saying you'll call me...
You don't have to lie. You do not have to say you'll call me, because we both know you aren't going to. Apparently, my skills aren't good enough for you. The jobs i've had before aren;t good enough. How is someone suppose to be that experienced if they CANT get a job to GET experience???

But then, some of you do like me. And you get my hopes up. You tell me I sound great for the position, and you say you will call. AND IT NEVER HAPPENS.
I work less that ten hours a week right now at my current job, and I need more. Why don't you people understand that????
I want to give up so bad, but I can't. I have to support myself somehow, I just wish you people wouldn't get my hopes up and then smash them down.

Dear person in charge of my destiny at work:

I am going back to school..not unlike other co-workers in our area. Plus, I am higher up on the chain, in terms of responsibility and privilage so I don't think it's fair when you tell me that I had better put my work first and realize that I might have to miss a class or two here or there because work comes first. Co-worker always jots off at 4:30 when she has class...and her class doesn't meet until 6 and it's like...5 miles away! I am driving all the way to another state (25 miles) and I will stay til 5 and I will continue to come in at 7 am. Also, realize that you teach a class during the fall and winter and YOU always leave to meet YOUR responsibility ... never once have I seen you skip your outside responsibilities for this place. Sheesh. We are ACCOUNTANTs not DOCTORs. No one will die if an account is not reconciled at 5 pm or if we have to wait until the morning to finish a report.

If you treated everyone the same, it wouldn't be an issue. Especially if you lead by example and have to make sacrifices. I would just do the best I could. BUT!! If I have to miss classes, and you and the other coworker traipse off to class each and every week and I miss classes, someone will hear about it.

Love my job, glad I have it. Pay is fair and benefits are great. For the most part, you are an excellent boss. Just treat us all the same, please.

Sincerely,

Your employee who is always on time, never complains, and does more than her fair share of work.

Have you thought about going to a temp agency? You will work for them, but you will work somewhere else temporarily. Sometimes companies will hire the people that the temp service sends to them (not always - sometimes they are looking for someone to fill in for a maternity or sick leave or somethign).

I have tried. There really aren't jobs in my area right now for people without any education, except for the jobs like I have now (at a pizza place). Ill find something after I graduate, and I guess ill suffer through the job I have for now. Thanks :)

Dear Bf-
I am getting very angry with you lately. I understand that you only get to see your son a couple days a week, but he should not get away with anything and everything he does. He treats me like crap, and he's only five. I know I "shouldn't let this bother me that much" but it does. You let him do whatever and say whatever he wants to me, and I am not going to let that slide. If I don't have a say in how he is going to be raised while he is in OUR home, then I shouldn't be in this relationship. It should not be like this... But, when I say something to you, you just blow it off and treat him like he's done nothing wrong... Things need to change, and then need to change soon...

Too bad I hardly get to see you anymore to actually sit down & talk to you about how I feel. :-/

Don't get discouraged. Keep your eyes on the classifieds (and if you live near a major city try craigslist)...also...take a look at monster.com. I found two of my favorite jobs on there (yes, after I got my degree...but there are still plenty of admin jobs on there when I look).

Also, you can usually go to the State Department of Human Resources in your town and put in applications. All the factories where I used to live picked applicants from there...from line workers to secretary's. It's worth a shot.

When I was in college I worked as a bank teller...have you gone to the bank and seen if they are hiring part timers? I got hired because 1)I was cheap 2) I was part time and they didn't have to give me healthcare benefits and 3) I worked every saturday. I also had to work at a department store too...

This child will always be important to your boyfriend and that is good - a boy needs a father. It doesn't sound, though, like your boyfriend is trying to make it work with you and everything, though. He needs to be sensitive. Here's a site on stepfamilies that you can read and stuff...see if it gives you any good advice.

The Stepfamily Life: A Weekly Column By a Real-Life Stepmom

Good luck! Only you can decide if it is worth it to get/stay with someoen who has children.

I love his son, and I love him, and I want his son to be number one in his life, it just gets frustrating sometimes when his son treats me like crap, and he lets him... I think I should get a little respect, not even because its my home too, but because when I was young, I was taught to respect people older than me. Hopefully it gets better... and, thanks for the site! Ill check it out!

Dear Everyone in my Life,

Please let me make decisions for myself. How will I learn if you always put your two cents in and try and make decisions for me. I want to buy the car I want to buy, even if the insurance will be high and it will be expensive to fix. It's going to be MY car, not yours! :)
