Dear contractors who are working on our backyard,

4 weeks ago when this project was started, you said it wouldn't take longer than 10 days. You were given 50% of the funds up front and on good faith. I realize that your sub ran off and it was delayed by several days because of this, but 4 weeks??? Come on!
We have 50 people coming to our house on Friday and the deck hasn't even been started. You say it will take one day to build it. Are you serious? It's huge. I am so distraught right now I can hardly see straight. I don't know what I am going to do if we have no deck for our party. Well, I do, but I can't write it in polite company. Not once have I heard any talk about a discount or adding any extras. At this point, in yor shoes, I would be offering the moon. But then I guess I've been way too accomodating and nice up until this point and you feel you can walk all over me.

Dear Parents,

I'm an adult. I'm 23. I don't need you to try and make decisions for me. I also don't need you to tell me what to do or how to live my life. Your opinions are great, but when you give them to me EVERY DAY in snarky tones and with disappointment, it gets old. You didn't do this to my sister (who is 4 years older) when she was my age, so you need to stop doing it to me. Just because I'm not doing something you would do, or do it your way, doesn't mean it's wrong, it just means I'm not you.

Dear uncaring people in the apartment complex,

I know my car is not fancy or impressive. I also know that you did not pay for said car, and so you might not think anything of it. However, I work hard for what I have. No one has given me anything...and this car has to last me at least another five to six years. My husband has been very diligent in keeping it waxed and keeping the clear coat intact. We never take it through a car wash that is NOT touchless - and we usually wash the car by hand. Of course you know that because you have probably seen us doing it. I pride myself in that I have a car with over 100,000 miles on it and it still looks brand new. Look inside. The interior is spotless.

I guess you didn't take the time to appreciate this when you threw your soda down and it splashed all over my car. I guess you don't know that the sugar in the soda will eat at the clear coat if you don't promptly wash it.

Luckily, I had to tkae some movies back before work so I was leaving early enough where I could run through the touchless carwash at Exxon. That cost $5...which I guess doesn't mean a lot to you either - after all - you only spent 99 cents on a soda and didn't even finish it.

I don't do careless things that hurt your personal property, so I would appreciate if you do the same.

Dear mystery white car owner,
Stop hitting my car! Nobody is registered to own the parking lot next to me, so stop parking there. I know you hit my car on multiple occasions because everything shows up on my black car. .. my car has so many digs, that you make it impossible for me to get a new car. Which I was planning to do this fall, but no, you spoiled it for me.

Dear bad drivers,

Please go the speed limit. It's really not that hard. I like to go 5 over the speed limit, even 10 some times, so I'm sorry if I get on your butt, but going 5 under just makes it unsafe for everyone on the road.

Also, for those of you who ride my butt when I'm going 10 over... I'M GOING 10 OVER! How fast do you really need to go?? I'm sorry if you want to get a speeding ticket, but don't almost hit me in your attempts. I don't want a speeding ticket, or to get in an accident, so just relax!

These issues come in in 2 places every time I drive from the apartment to my parents house. EVERY TIME! The speed limit on Huguenot Rd. is 45 people, not 35, so GO THE SPEED LIMIT! The speed limit on Walton Park Rd. is 25, so sorry if me going 30 through a neighborhood is too slow for you, but I don't want a $250 speeding ticket. I also don't want to hit a little kid bc there are no sidewalks.

Dear DH

Everytime when I have a bit of spare money, can you stop asking me, "oooh are you going to get another bag??". Frankly it's really getting to be old and irritating. Yes, you bought me my last three bags cause I'm not working at the moment but I offered to pay you back with my tax refund and you said "don't be silly". So zip it! I am being really patient and actually saving up for my next two bags. And if I choose to use little bit of the money coming to me for my next one, that's my perogative cause the rest of the money is going into OUR savings (granted you haven't said anything about it... YET). I look after all of you and put everyone first. So don't try to make feel guilty, in that really annoyingly "jokey" sort of way, if I want to indulge once in a while! Cause I'm not going to feel guilty anymore!

(I need to write this down, although I've already told DH all this)

must you really charge me $40 for a freaking parking permit???! $40??!!!! I mean... I'll only station my car in one of the thousands of parking lots on campus for a couple of hours!!!! Don't even get me started on your tuition costs!!! OMG... you all are evil!!!! Do consider building more dormitories as well, because of your occupied availability, I cannot live on campus! I was willing to pay, but I couldn't get a room... BECAUSE YOUR CAMPUS NEEDS MORE DORM ROOMS!!!!

^^ Viva, parking where I am going for my Masters is $50 and it's at a satellite campus that is shared with a community college. Really $40 isn't that much.
