Default TPF

I was browsing tpf to see how it's different from ours and the girls seem to be very mean. I read some posts and they were calling some celebs bimbos among other degrading comments. I was just really surprised.

You may have seen in my "Introduce Yourself" post that I hwys thought they were sort of snobby and sororityish, many times people who had been around a long time would make really rude comments to other members and no one said a word, but if you hadnt been there long your opinion was always wrong and picked apart. I refused to give people personal information to prove that something I said was true so they decided that instead of just taking what I said with a grain of salt (who cares about my personal life anyway?) they would just ban me from the site. I had to email other members to find out what was going on bc no one bothered to contact me! The date of the ban was unfortunate because I was a member of a gift exchange with 2 packages and had already shipped the first and paid for the second even though I had yet to receive anything from my anonymous buddy. The organizer told my buddy not to send me anything so now I have spent $60+ on this gift exchange and they didnt see it fair to at least let me see it to the end.

And if you thought comments they made about celebrities were harsh, you should see some of the stuff I got via PM - some members wanted to maintain a friendly persona and be liked and popular but would totally bitch out on me in PMs about the DUMBEST things. Ridiculous. Sadly there are some great people there and since it has extensive reference libraries and most stores will give you a deal if you give them your TPF username there they will stay, I guess unless they get booted for having a private life.

did you email megs about the RAOK? i think checking if you were in a RAOK is something that they needed to look into before banning someone.

I'm so sorry you had to experience that drama. Hopefully you will have a lot of fun here.

I did, through TPF as well as PB and got no response from anyone. I am obviously PNG there now.

Just go on as another name.
I'm a member there but only go on for the reference library. I find that they don't answer questions though when I ask them about authenticity.

I went on that forum just to sneak a look and I've noticed some of those members post here as well!

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with them.

I think the PF has some good references and stuff. I mean, there is a lot of helpful information on their site. But as for the members and posting - totally not for me. It seems really impersonal beause there are so many members there. And I have also read through some nasty comments where I was thinking to myself "WTF???" Idk...i almost feel like i don't "belong" when i've gone on their forum.

you will definitely enjoy yourself here!!!
