AHHH Allergies!

Okay I'm going crazy. Since I was born, up until maybe 19, I never had allergies. Well magically they just started and honestly, this year is the worst (I'm 23). My eyes run, my throat itches, just like the commercials say!! I take Claritin but you can only take 1 a day and it doesn't last. So I take Benedryl but it totally knocks me out and like last night, I passed out in the middle of a movie at 9pm. Hahaha...terrible.

What can be done??? We did a Spring Cleaning today and hopefully got some dust bunnies out of the house but still, this is killing me.

The only thing that works for me is Zyrtec. you can buy it over the counter now, without a prescription.

^^^ I've been trying Zyrtec... I'm still sneezing up a storm in the morning. Ah man, that's going to suck come those 7:30 am finals!

Susie - Have you tried the saline solution to flush out your sinuses? That helps me the most!

My allergies are going nutz right now too. My brother Usually give me these really good pills to take. But, I forgot what its called.

i have allergic asthma so i am on claritin, sudafed, eye drops, and two inhalers. spring is my least favorite season!

Maryland is at record highs for pollen, which I feel horrible. And the irony is I'm severely allergic to alot of allergy medicines, especially benadryl, so much fun! Basically Visene Allergy is the only thing to help just a tad. My throat is driving me insane, Im holding back coughs left and right and im beyond tired of sneezing. I woke up today and could not breathe at all. And to make matters more interesting the AC in our house is broken and my mom keeps the windows gaping open allowing all the pollen in the world in to try to kill me in the process.

Yes I know what you mean I have been dying since last Sunday!! I am so tired of the sneezing, sore throat, watering eyes...
The flowering trees are beautiful but they are killing me!

I'm in Maryland too and it is terrible here. It's getting worse and worse. I am so sorry to hear that you're allergic to most medicines. That has to be horrible.

I take benadryl and drink a french vanilla cappuccino so it knocks my allerigies out and I am still wide awake, actually I'm more awake then I was before I took it.

ya we don't have AC so we keep the windows open -plus I like the fresh breeze as does my kitty. he loves talking to the birds (he chirps his little head off, it's wild).

Oh I know exactly how you all feel, I am siting here with a box of tissue, runny, itchy nose and watery eyes just coz I did a little cleaning today!

I never had allergies until recently either. Have you tried Zyrtec? Try vacuuming a lot too. Also, don't leave your window open!
