Here's a pic of our little mutt. Her name is Lake and she's a Pit Bull/Jack Russell/Something-or-other mix :) She's about 6.5 months old and about as big as she's going to get at 28lbs.
Of course these are a little big, sorry! The first picture is when she was about 3.5 months and the second picture is a recent one.
Ok, I could put pictures of my beagle Snickers on here all day! He is my little baby! He's about 5 now and he has serious separation anxiety with me but he's so adorable!!!!
Here are our Sugar Gliders Zeus and Athena. They're almost a year!! They stay at my bf's house but they're our babies!!
Nicole, your dog is soooo cute. I love the photo of him lying down with you.
Thanks! He will really sleep beside me like that sometimes! My brother came in to ask me something the other night and almost peed his pants laughing, so he just had to take a picture!
it's very kind of you to provide the medical care adn sweet home for them
I wish I can do that in the future.
It's our family's pet project, pun intended. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for animals and this rescue facility does such an amazing job. When we started volunteering there and I saw that certain ones were doomed to never find a home because they have a destroyed ear or are deaf or are "ugly" or too old, we made the decision to take in these guys only. I just wish there were more people out there that felt the same way. There is a room of cats that are older at the facility that will never go to a home because they are, simply, too old. They are so sweet and just dying for attention. It breaks my heart that I can't take all of them. There was a woman who dropped off her two 12 year olds a couple of weeks ago. She had bought them when they were 6 weeks old and now found that she wanted a new career and they weren't part of the package. These babies are so depressed, so lonely. We spend a ton of time holding them and loving them, but to what end? They are too old to have someone come in and grab them right off the bat. Everyone wants the kittens or the younger ones. So many of these older ones die of a broken heart because their owners abandon them.

He's such a sweetie, we're lucky to have him.
oh, that is just too sad for me. I just don't get it, I mean really you have these "children" in your life for almost 12 years and then, oh I can't anymore. Really? I could never! People don't realize that animals have feelings too.

She donated $500 to the organization and then walked away. And you are right, I could never do that. My animals are like my children. Miss Sunday doesn't always go in the litter box. This has been a standing issue with her. Whether it is because she is lazy and doesn't want to go all the way to the box or whether she can't see in the dark and is afraid, whatever the issue, it's there. But I would never even think about giving her back. We have a policy that once an animal walks through our door, they are family and we deal with the issues. And it certainly helps the children to pick up their clothes off the ground. If you don't the cat might pee on them.
