Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
^^^ Yeah, I know what you mean. A co-worker of mine just had a little oops. This is the third time too... and this guy still won't marry her. Sheesh! I guess she gets to claim stuff because she's a "single" parent even though she technically isn't because she's benefiting from living with her boyfriend. ::sigh::
Let's see... my husband worked for Bosch for awhile. And he worked for a large pharmaceutical company at one time too. No tuition nothing either of those places. The job at the university was the worst though. They actually have a tuition benefit but they purposely only hire "temporary" employees just to get out of having to give that benefit. They are just cheap there and they get tons of criticism from the city because all they care about is raising tuition so they can build another thing they don't need.

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
Hmm...that's odd...I just remember talking to a bunch of recruiters for all sorts of companies and most gave tuition reimbursement...maybe they only did it at the salaried level? I don't know. Sounds like a tough break, but trust me...I'd trade you any day to be back in school ...
If all I had to worry about was a couple of med bills and how to pay bills, I would be so giddy and happy. The more you get in life doesn't always mean you get happier. With bigger money comes bigger problems and more responsibility.

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
Well... Mr. Finger seems to be feeling better now. It's been 3 whole days, my husband still refuses to take the bandage off to change it. ::sigh:: I told him it couldn't possibly gush blood since it had been 3 days. Anyway, I'll try to get it off of him tomorrow... I might just have to hold him down.
Still waiting for the bills, but I suppose it will take a couple weeks. Not looking forward to that!

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
well since this is the bad day post...i thought i would vent about my day yesterday.
spent all night thursday cleaning for weekend company that is staying with us and doing homework. then i got up at 5am to take a 3 hour test at school. I found out that my boss dident pay me, and my bank isent open on the weekend so Im poor until at least monday. I tried for a position in my school, and found out i did not make the cut. I spent 18 hour days working for it all week and teaching others how to do well but when it came down to the final try i couldent catch my breath and had trouble speaking (just got over broncitis). This was my final shot at the position so im a little heart broken over it even though its kinda dumb. I dont think this could happen at a worse time. My birthday is next week but im not really all that excited anymore. Things like this always seem to happen around this time so i almost hate my birthday these days. When I was about ten my grandfather died the week before I turned 11...I think i must be bad luck.

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
Alright... so we finally got the yucky bandage off today. It was all crushed and stuck on there... ::shudder:: I guess that will teach him a lesson next time. It's kinda funny how he finally decided to take it off. I woke up around 4am to hear snipping. He couldn't sleep because something kept poking or something. So here he was snipping at the gauze with scissors that wouldn't cut it very well. So it was "snip... click... snip... click..." Agh! Then we had to soak the whole thing in water, what a mess! I hope he doesn't think he can do that again.
Oh yeah, then I balanced my checkbook and found that I only have $36. And I don't get paid for almost a whole week (Friday)!

chin up... Could be worse... Could have negative cash
Your bills won't come in for about 3-4 weeks.... At least that's my experience...
Is hubby doing better? Is there anything you could do for a little extra $$$ tutoring? Babysitting? Just a thougt... You can still do homework while babysitting

Yes, he seems better. I still have to do a lot for him since he can't use his hand very well. His finger is in a splint and its all bandaged up and strapped to his hand. LOL! He probably doesn't mind since that just means he gets to be babied more. I even have to reach in the shower to scrub his hair since he can't get his hand wet.
As far as money goes... I just get paid for my blog posts, which helps some. My paychecks aren't all that big, of course, since I've had to cut back hours because of homework demands.
Hmm... my brother-in-law and sister-in-law never seem to go anywhere or do anything. LOL! Otherwise I could beg to watch my niece. Oh well...

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
Have you ever thought of offering to watch the kid for $10 or $15? The reason they never do anything is because most likely they don't have a chance...
I know my brother would take me up on the offer, but I live 800 miles from him and I don't need the money and his kids are too hard to watch. Id give the offer, then give my stepson half to do the babysitting...I'd make a little for no work at all!

Re: Now I'm the one having the bad day...
^^^ Hehe... I just said something to my husband about watching his brother's daughter. He seemed to think that they wouldn't go anywhere whether they were given the opportunity or not. Well, I guess my sister-in-law is a real homebody.
