I just read about this! I'm really sorry about your Husband and your dad. I hope they are doing alright now. And I know what its like to get an outrageous bill due to no insurance. Serioulsy, medical attention can really become a financial burden because it is soooo expensive w/o insurance. I have to wait another 2 months to get insurance where I work. So i'm hoping that i can last that long without having to go to the doctors or hospital, etc. Anyways, I really hope things turn out ok with that...

Go to a young CPA mixer. The state society where you live will have them normally - and it's usually a young lawyer/young CPA thing where I am...I never go to them because I don't like doing that sort of thing after work (I would rather go home and hang out with my husband) but you never know...

I think my dad's doing fine... he just has a brace on his wrist. He's such a klutz. My husband is better, but he's still not at work. ::sigh:: His brother keeps calling and he won't talk to him (he works with his brother). I asked him yesterday if he was going to go back and he said he didn't know. I told him I didn't care what he did as long as he could pay for his financial obligations. So he might be looking for a new job as soon as his finger is better. Who knows...
