Any of your girls have tats? I have three (and they aren't big and out there... the only one you can see everyday is a four leaf clover on my wrist...)
and today I was told that I was trashy because of them.
I know people have their own opinions, so I just wanted to see what yall think :)
I like tattos, but not when they're everywhere. I'd only want like a couple where you couldn't see them...

I used to be a huge tattoo and piercing junkie when I was 16.
I have three as well: a dragon (zodiac) on my upper back, the capricorn symbol on my pelvis , and my chinese name (down my neck)
And you are so not trashy! What other ones do you have?
I have a cross on my stomach and its the biggest, but you can ONLY see it when im wearing a bathing suite. its like, 5 inches long.... then I have a pink ribbon on my back with my aunts name & a halo over it... and that one i would fight someone over! :)
i dont think it's trashy - i mean well sometimes it can be depending on the place but that's like wearing clothing. Some clothes can make you look cheap - others make you look great! I got mine on my lower back when I was 19, then I added to it at 20, then again at 21 and then finished at 22. It is basically a fairy...but not a fairy. It's from Brian Froud who did this book "Good Faeries, Bad Faeries". The little dudes name is Boon and there is a whole norweigan folklore about it - but all in all to make a long story short - it's a spirit guide that stays with you until you pass away and then goes to your loved ones to protect them in your place. ya...i love it. so then i added lily flowers below it to ground the art (susan means like a lily). then i wanted to really surround it and got vines and flowers that go up and wrap around the side of my waist & ribs. Ah... all-in-all it's probably like 7" high and about a foot wide. it's pretty light and airy though so it's not heavy at all. sometimes i forget i have it - but when i go snowboarding and i bend down to undo my bindings - my ass sticks out and i get compliments then...strange ya?
so if it's important to you - then what's wrong with a tattoo? my mom said i'd never get a husband bc of my tattoo...but okay...then anyone who can't accept me with a tattoo isn't meant for me!!
i've dated tattoo addicts before - 1 boyfriend had a full sleeve, another had like 10 scattered ones and the last boyfriend had 2 full sleeves, back of neck, entire back and both calves. Hahaha...oh and my boyfriend now has a VERY funny, small tattoo. Basically it was his friend who had to practice for his tattoo certification - so my boyfriend told him to practice on his back and...well he made a mistake and then BLACKED IT OUT and did it again. hahaha!! it's kinda cool looking, but i think it's awesome that it was a total mistake.

i agree jessilr i want them where you cant see them, most people think im crazy because they think it defeats the point...but i want it for me to see not them
I HATE tattoos, LOL! JK I have three.
I got my first tat when I was 21. It has a heart with a banner and its at the center of the top right of my shoulder blade. Then I have my husbands name tattooed on my lower back, right above my apple bottom in this beautiful cursive with two large roses. Its about six inches or less. Then I have a Butterfly on my big toe. None of my tatoos can be seen, I love closed toe pointy shoes so the only time the butterfly shows is when I have on sandals. Bad part about the toe tat is that the color wears down due to the cotton from socks, etc.
I dont think that Tattoos should always be seen and at certain events they are distasteful and can be trashy. My dad doesnt approve.
About the tatoo on my back... (the heart and banner).. I had it removed because it was embarrassing whenever I would wear a dainty sundress in the summer. At my wedding I had on a capped sleeve VW gown but I never took off my veil when I was dancing with my husband because I didnt want anyone to see that tattoo. The makeup wasnt authentic enough and looked like I was trying to cover up something. It just didnt look right.
Imagine this beautiful bride at a gorgeous wedding and you have this cheap tattoo destroying my photo ops. I got that removed with laser surgery. (But I admitted to that already in the "ever had plastic surgery" thread...)
