I am trying to gain weight, and nothing seems to be working. I eat, A LOT. I stopped smoking, etc... I just cant get over 110lbs, and for my height im severely underweight! Anyone have any tips on how to gain some weight? Thanks!!
omg, i'd love to be in your shoes...serioulsy. i'd rather be a little too thin than have a few extra pounds to lose. oh, and i'd love to eat, and eat and still not put on any weight. but thats just me, lol. i think you're actually LUCKY!
but anyways, maybe protein shakes would help. i've seen really tiny girls at the gym (way back when i use to go,lol) and they must have been in the same boat as you because i'd see them slurping down this huge ass protein shake as they were walking on the treadmill. so i assumed that maybe they were trying to gain weight (???). but i'm not exactly sure...
Eat lots of bread and carbs and try some of those protein shake things ... Also slimfast is high in calories bc its supposed to be a meal replacement so drink one with a big bowl of spagetti and half a baguette
Thanks! I eat carbs ALL the time. I hate being this small... I used to have issues with being so small and not eating, etc, so it sucks that I cant gain weight now. I HATE being asked if im anorexic now or if I eat, and all that. It sucks
Hm, if I were you I'd check with your doctor. That's how my boyfriend is, he's skinny. He eats ANYTHING under the sun and doesn't gain weight!!

In order to gain weight and be healthy at the same time can actually be more challenging than actually losing weight. Here's my advice to help you gain:
1: Count how many calories you normally take in a day. Then just add another 500 -600 calories on top of your normal caloric intake. By eating just a bit more.
2: Instead of eating 3 big meals a day. Break it down to smaller 5-6 meals a day.
3: Get some Protein shakes and take multi-vitamins everyday.
4: Even though you're trying to gain weight...It does not mean that you can stuff your face with greasy fatty food that's unhealthy. Stick with Fish, lean meats, carbs, whole wheat, poultry, ect. Just eat bigger portions of it.
5: Weight Lifting!! Yes! You heard me! Just because you lift weights does not mean you will start looking like a man. Weight lifting will shape your body and tone your muscles and therefore will make you look more shapely. note: Unless you're going to lift extremely heavy weights...You will not get bulky.
6: After doing this for one month. You should gain anywhere from 3-5lbs. a month. (gaining too much in a short period is not healthy , SO, I dont recommened you over do it).
7: At some point will stop gaining. If you need to put on more weight...Just add another 200 cal. on top of whatever you taking in.

I had the same problem last year, and I actually ended up doing the things you suggested and I am now at the weight I would like to be at. It can be difficult to gain healthy weight, but it's certainly doable.
