Some people just do a solid week of only 1000 cal. a day to "jump start" thier bodies. But a lot of nutritionists say that is not good for you and you will go in starvation mode...personally never happened to me!!LOL Make sure you count everything though.....creamer in coffee, tic-tacs.....it all adds up!!!

I'm 5'9" and I'm around 155-160. According to the BMI, this is still considered a healthy weight. I have gained weight though because I used to weigh 145-150. And when I was younger, I weighed like 130 which was considered underweight for my height. What has me concerned is that if I measure around my middle where the diagram says you're supposed to measure, I'm 34 inches around. Since I'm tall, I realize that it is impossible for me to have a circumference that is less than a certain amount. But in health class, they said that a circumference that was 35 inches or greater was an indicator of increased health risk. So I think that my BMI may be misleading because I probably have a higher percentage of body fat. KWIM? At any rate, it seems that if I eat much less than I normally do, then I feel like I'm starving all the time.

Have you ever talked to a nutritionist or a doctor on why you feel hungry all the time?

The problem with exercising outside is that the weather generally isn't very favorable for that. That was the whole reason for buying the treadmill in the first place. IDK... I have a bike but there isn't really anywhere to ride it safely around here.

Do you have like a state park? Or a park in general with walking paths?
I have a ton around me!! Atleast 5 or 6 within 30 minutes of where I live.

Haha! Yeah, I could do some bicep curls! She weighs a decent amount for it anyway (like 16 pounds).

No. Usually when I try to bring this stuff up with my doctor she just tells me to stop eating bread.

Re: Weight Loss Journal
If I could figure out how to get our bikes there, there is a bike/horseback riding trail that goes to the middle of nowhere. LOL! Well, actually, it just leads out of town and ends up in this little town. But this wouldn't be something we could do every day since it would be such a hassle just getting the bikes there.

Yeah..it'd be fun to do every few weeks. (I should do that!)
Buy a horse! Then just take the horse on the trails!!

Re: Weight Loss Journal
That wouldn't be very much exercise! LOL! Plus I'd have to pay to have the horse boarded somewhere.

Re: Weight Loss Journal
Where's Marissa? What do think I should do? Is there a way to find out how much I should be eating? Because my health class's textbook warned that you're not supposed to cut your calories too much, otherwise your body will resist weight loss even more because it thinks its starving and needs to conserve energy. But it seems that the number of calories that can be consumed and the person still loses weight is a different number for each person. I'm so confused.

Re: Weight Loss Journal
I have that issue too, not knowing how to eat. I'm seriously, always constantly starving ... I eat perfectly healthy (fiber bars, energy bars, salads, subs, sugar-free redbull, etc.), like 200 calories all during the day probably totalling like 1100-1400 a day but I'm ALWAYS hungry.
