Alicia, Dont take what he says too seriously. Guys say stupid things because we think that by saying stuff like that would motivate you somehow. Im sure he didnt mean it in a offensive way.
DOnt starve yourself! By torturing yourself the way you do...your "diet" is going to fail sooner or later cause your body will get sick of it and you'll gonna quit eventually.
IMO I dont even think you need to lose any weight. I saw your pic in your profile and I think you're beautiful the way you are. (sorry..that was a bit cheesy....BUT TRUE!!)

^ok, that wasn't cheesy...that was really, really sweet GUY. and i'll admit that coming from someone like you who is into health and fitness, that felt really good. but i'm just so unhappy with how i look....
i really haven't had much of an appetite anyways lately. i think its because i've been stressed out about it so much. i'm not like intentionally "starving" myself or anything. i have a set image/weight in my mind of what i think will make me happy.
Alicia - Don't worry about what your boyfriend says. Guy is right, men say stupid things that they think will motivate someone. Hell, my husband tells me I'm fat all the time! I don't think he means it in a mean way, its just his way of bringing attention to my unhealthy lifestyle that I'm living at the moment (like I said, when I'm stressed all I want to do is eat french fries! LOL!)

My hubby makes it worse. He likes to see me eat and so he will go out and buy me cupcakes and chocoloate if I don't buy them when I shop because he knows I like them. he said I won't get fat until after I have kids, if I have any...but I am already up 20 pounds from when we got married 3 years ago...
But, when we met I was working two jobs and going to school full time so I was on my feet a lot running around. Now I sit at a computer 12 hours per day. Ick.
Alicia...do what makes YOU happy ...
BrS...if he calls you fat again, squeeze his finger. That should shut him up for a while.
ok, so i went over to the saks outlet to return a coat I bought. i was looking around and i came across some jeans. i saw these really nice ones on sale for $99. anyways, i was really hesitant to reach for a 28 because i thought to myself that there would be no way i could zip those suckers up all the way and be comfortable. so i grabbed the 28 and a 29 in two different styles. i was scared to try them on because i know if they didn't fit i'd be even MORE depressed. so i first tried on the 28...and i couldn't believe that they actually were a bit lose. they weren't tight around the waist and they could have even been tighter around the butt and thigh area. they fit me so well. i was even thinking about trying a 27...but then i realized that i didn't want to push my luck, lol. but i just wanted to say that i felt better about myself today. usually a 28 is a bit tight...but not anymore! so this totally made me feel good about myself...and seeing a 25 on the rack really motivated me to get smaller....
no posts in a long time... Has everyone given up on losing weight?
LOL! This was funny yo me because I dont think that I have worked out since my last post. And I was doing so good...
Maybe I will get back into gear soon..Ijust finished eating a Payday candybar and reading about Mariah Carey losing weight on Us weekly, LOL!

Ok so I haven't been able to read all the posts in this thread, but I read a few up where it says you tried on a 28 or a 29, which is awesome! That's such a great size and that's awesome that you tried them on even though you had your doubts!
Just wondering, have you ever thought about cutting meat out of your diet? I'm a vegetarian and it's a really healthy alternative and a lot of people do it to lose weight. There's always the annoyance of having to make sure you're taking vitamins, but just wondering if that was something you tried, even though it sounds like you're doing great!
I've been working out everyday in some form. I try and walk the dogs 2 miles every day and then the eliptic for an hour.
For food I'm staying away from carbs and sweets. Hard but worth it.
I bought this amazing bathing suit from VS and am determined to look amazing in it within the next month.
Bought this in black.
I did so-so today. I just ate a turkey sandwich and some Sunchips for lunch, a single chicken soft taco later in the afternoon (I was in a huge hurry to get to work), and then I had an ice-cream cone from Dairy Queen (hey, could have been worse... I was drooling at the thought of a Blizzard).

today i was really good. i had some plain tuna and a little lowfat cottage cheese. then later on i had a small bowl of special k cereal with skim milk. and that was it.
about the whole vegetarian thing - i'm sorry but i think it is healthy to eat meat and just not over do it. you need protein and vitamins (yes, i am aware of the supplements you can take and also of the food alternatives that are full of these essentials). but in my opinion, i think meat is a necessary food group to include in our diets. i stick with lean meats like chicken, turkey and i love seafood. and i don't mean to sound gross but i love a rare juicy steak or burger...but i only eat red meat like a few times a year. i try to stay away from that. anyways, i won't be giving up my lean meats anytime soon!
speaking of meat, i think i need to eat some. i've been feeling weak from suddenly cutting back so much on what i eat. though it could be lack of carbs. but carbs are EVIL!!!!

My best friend stopped eating meat, and she lost about 30lbs! She hated not being able to eat it, but with her, all the fat went directly to her backside, and she needed to lose some of it... lol. But, after a while she got used to it and I think shes still losing weight! Good Luck everyone :)

I agree with you sista! In moderation most foods are good. The thought of going without meat sounds crazy. I love seafood and I love turkey and lean meats. A juicy steak is a rare treat and we probably only eat that once every few months, if that!
