Default No More eLuxury Catalogs

Didn't get your eluxury catalog this month? There's a good reason for that. Following the eco trend, fashion retailer eluxury has decided to abolish catalogs. The 270,000 catalogs that are annually sent out have been replaced with equally fashionable online flipthroughs.

Karen Wallerich, director of eStore and marketing at eLuxury.com had this to say: "Besides the noticeable environmental impact, it allows us to create more trend-based and conceptual style guides, showcase more merchandise, reach a broader audience, and target more specifically our customers."

I'm thinking: Who's next? I will just die if I don't get my Nordstroms catalog. No I'm not a nordstroms-addict, but I love flipping through the glossy illustrations by Ruben Toledo.

The ones from Elux were pretty thin to begin with....but that's ok, its better for the environment !! I hope NM and Saks continue to mail out their catalogs tho...

That's really better than sending out catalogs.

That is pretty cool. I will miss those catalogs, though, they were really colorful and engrossing (as much as a catalog can be)
