I received 3 dozen red roses because my husband forgot he had already ordered some.
I spent the day wrangling the kids, we went for a bike ride and then ate dinner at our favorite BarBQ place. I'm Texan, what do you want?
And now I am searching for a bag or two on Ebay (that I have been promised) and will head into bed. After eating a yummy cupcake that I made for the kid's parties yesterday.

Re: Happy Valentine’s Day
I had the best V-day EVER!!! It started out with me going to my Bf's house. He initially wanted to take me to a nice restaurant but we decided that staying home and cooking is soooo much more romantic. But when i got there, he was all dressed up for me and he had been cooking all day (his famous sauce - he's part Italian ). The aroma throughout the house was mouth watering, lol. Anyways, he presented a dozen roses to me with a cute little card with some corny inside joke/names we call each other . When I went to the dining room I was touched when i saw how lovely the table was set up: two candles, nice place settings, bottle of wine, etc. And the best part about the set up was the menu he made!!! He actually mimicked an upscale Italian restaurant's menu with the name of the 'restaurant' at the top calling it Ristorante de Michael....so adorable!!! Listed was the appetizer, salad, meal, wine, and MY dessert and at the very bottom in fine print it said "All meals are made from the finest ingredients and LOVE from the depths of the heart." That's when the little girl in me kicked in and I got teary eyed, etc, etc. But to make a long story short, the meal was wonderful down to every last savory bite. He even made me Mimosa as per my request. And he loved my cheesecake. The rest of the day was spent being all mushy He made me feel like a princess...
Hope everyone had a lovely V-day as well!!!

Re: Happy Valentine’s Day
We can add a 15 pound box of squash seeds to my present. Odd, yes, but I love squash seeds and he had them shipped from Sahadi's in Brooklyn, which have the best seeds ever!
Sad, I know. It's the little things now...

Re: Happy Valentine’s Day
so it started with roses on my bed right when i got out of the shower and a poem to go along with that.....which made me get all teary. (we're college students so we still had to go to school).
we were planning to go to disney right after my last class (he got me a year pass) and have dinner around Anaheim area where he reserved a table. (so i got all dressed up for my classes so that i didn't have to go back to my place to change afterwards....heheh)
BUT THEN....it started raining RIGHT BEFORE my last class started! so i got really lazy to drive one whole hour to get to orange county and disneyland wasn't really an option anymore cuz it might be raining when we get there!
SO.... i told him that i just want to go to our favorite vegetarian restaurant (i'm vegetarian) and then go shopping/watch movie afterwards (hehehehe....).
(there's a theatre inside the outdoor shopping mall.....oh! and the rain stopped by then :D)
so we went ate, shopped and we watched 28 dresses which is a WONDERFUL movie! it was the perfect vday movie! heheh...and i love katherin heigl! she's so cute!

Re: Happy Valentine’s Day
I got the pink ring that I really wanted, pear shaped and with pave white sapphires surrounding it. I knew I was getting that, but I also got a pink sapphire and white sapphire heart necklace, I love it because it reminds me of a larger version of a blue sapphire one I got from my dad, which is my favorite necklace. We got all dressed up and went to a nice restaurant which had the most amazing food, and we acquired about 3 new favorite wines. It was lovely.
