    Default Yay! Finished my taxes!!

Oh thank goodness!!! I was freaking out all week because I thought I owed $1200 on my taxes!!! Well I buckled down tonight and went back through it, step by step only to realize that I made major number mistakes in my stock sales which was WHY my taxes went crazy... *phew*... i'm getting like $400 back... not too bad considering my freelance work needed taxes deducted from it.

Yep, it sure does seem like a lot of money when you're not paying rent... utility bills... payments towards debts... ::sigh:: oh to be young (okay, I'm not THAT old) and innocent again with my very first job. Oh wait... that was at a vet's office and the doctor was a total douche... NEVERMIND! LOL!

hahahahhahah yes i hear you on that!! about 1/4 of my salary went to taxes. that's kind of sickening. and while i won't get into politics - i'm not seeing any of the benefits that my taxes are supposedly paying for.

oh and then better news - rent this next year goes up $100 a month. it's like everything else accounts for inflation EXCEPT our salary!!

o and don't get me started on STATE tax. VT has some of the highest taxes meanwhile - it took me over an HOUR to drive to work this morning because on a wintery weather day i only saw ONE SNOWPLOW out. so where's the money going? to the cows!!
